Lovely morning again, Mr Magpie arrived as usual to inspect my lawn, he'll be back later with his mate, could be female but I can't tell, not for me to judge :D
Yesterday, I caught one of my magpies clutching to the edge of a water butt, reaching down and scooping up water as if he had just finished a sweaty night shift in the local steel works! I've never seen them do that before as there is plenty of more easily accessible water around my garden.:)

Sorry, it kinda looks like an app on my mobile, there is an icon to click on, put it like that, but yes, once you have got your sign in, you're off and running!
Happy you have got it sorted and can print stuff off!!:):):)
It does leave you felling more confident, doesn't it?;)
I will be printing the updated download well in advance of travelling (to keep it in-date). As I can guarantee if I leave it until the travel date, my laptop will throw a wobbly, the printer will be out of ink n paper, my mobile will be lost, and the world will prolly end

Morning All :D
Me-n-'er repainted the sleepers around the patio with barn-paint yesterday, all dry and looks nice today. :)
Nothing on my agenda so far for today so maybe I will do some work on the trike (new brake rotor on back wheel and a change of sprocket for lower gearing).
Have a great day. :D

Be aware they only last a mumf or so, so you might want to check all this well in advance. It tells you the "use by " date on it. and you'll want it to cover you for the whole time you are there. Unless you want to have to feck about over there.
Last time we came back it took us bits of three days to get our paperwork straight plus my mate's pooter and his printer while we were staying with them in Cherbourg.
It's easier now though.
They asked us for one bit of paper amongst all the others before we left the UK on 31/3/22, and when I presented it we were told, "Oh, you don't need that anymore, since 1500 hrs today."

Like I said, just download it as a document and keep that on your phone, cos you can always display that without needing to get a signal, to log on or anything. But just keep on updating it. ;)

Good day so far, more or less.
The sun is shining, it obvs hasn't read the forecast.
Had to order two stupid T5 fluorescent tubes as no one stocks em any more but they'll be there for me to collect Thursdi.
Dropped of the "dessus de lit" at dry cleaners, known as a "pressing" weirdly in Frogland. But the price is much the same as the UK. So "result"!:)
Then picked up the hens, they look lovely and they gave us a cardboard box, so no need to return a crate. :)
They are a bit puzzled by our new hen coop with it's trendy split level. But I expect they'll sort themselves out!
Enjoy the rest of the day folks!:):):)

Do you find you get more done when you are on your own and don't get called out to "help" with something else?
I do. I did most of the work fitting out our place during the holidays when Wifey couldn't get holiday as she worked like a normal person, not a teacherer. Once she retired that flew out the window and I slowed down even more dramatically when I retired.

I dont get called off really, well maybe too "where do you want your coffee" so I dont mind:).
My biggest problem is since I have all the time in the world I dont push myself enough and having a day off is no big deal as there's always tomorrow;).

Must try to get back into it properly:).

J

Bike passed its MOT this morning

So I’ve been 182cm tall for as long as I can remember - just been for my NHS MOT and I’m 180cm. I haven’t had a bad parachute jump so where did the 2cms go
Perfectly normal. Those lovely moist discs of cartilage in-between your vertebrae dry out as you age and get progressively thinner.
I was 5' 7" but now I am a passable Napoleon or Toulouse Lautrec. ;)
