Spent the afternoon looking for a secondhand car trailer.
FFS!
They are fecking expensive even if you can find one, and I can't, south of Mankchester, Liverpool, Brum and there are quite a few in Scotlandshire.:mad::mad:
They are nearly as expensive as a new one.
It don't have to be able to carry a Landy, but W's feckin Pluriel is nearly 13' long!
Looking now at Woodfords, new one £3900.
Crazy.
Wish I had been able to get on and sell the box trailer first. Typical it needed and still needs work and work that it is not easy to do in the cold and wet.
So if anyone knows of one that can take a 13 long car, please let me know, as it is doing my head in!!! Beer tokens in it for you if nec!

What about this? :)

Good evening

Just checked the distance as the crow flies to the Faslane Nuclear base, 28 miles.
So if Putin presses the red button will only have a few mins before we get vaporised.

Kevstar you don't have any mins, but at least a grandstand view for a second or so
oh and remind me about the twins

Oh aye ive got a front row seat Happy dayz :D:Do_O
The nuke will taken out before it hits here, probably better to get vaporised than get peeled alive
then your bits start fallin off

Tis ok we have HMS sex & cocaine to protect us

Had a busy couple of days, my bank card decided it didnt want to work anymore wft ???
Spent over an hour in the bank taking to the fraud team turned out to be a false alarm
they thought someone tried to buy loads of car parts but it was me at the cash machines
trying to take money out & they got the codes mixed up.
Anhoo the card shat its self & didnt want to work anymore?? :(

Look at Brian James trailers the connect style is very flexible:)

Cheers mate, they are one of the ones on my list. The C4 just about fits our brief. Also Bateson and Woodford.
Such a funny thing, never having really done this before.
Our massive box trailer just fell into our laps really. Local purchase from an ad in Yellow Pages. Never realised for quite a while how lucky we had been.

@Stanleysteamer Trailers are stupid money for decent ones how much do you really want to
spend.
new one on gbay for 3k.....CAR-TRAILER-2700-KILO-14-ft-7 Ft meters quality trailer new 2022 | eBay

Thought about a tow dolly...much cheaper. I know where theres one in a barn :D

Cheers, Mate!
Just bookmarked it. That's a bit cheaper than the ones I have been looking at.
I was trying to avoid beavertails, and hadn't really thought about a towing dolly, don't know if that would be a good idea for a nearly 600 mile trip. but thinking about it, I don't really know why not! You can tell I have only rarely towed a car before, on a trailer except for the short distance to an MOT station to get a kit car registered. And that belonged to a mate, single axle and again a Metro on another mates trailer from Weymouth to my place. so far more experience towing the box trailer, which at the end of the day is more difficult both to load and to tow.
We have also thought about one of those long distance A-frame things, but they have now got to be connected to the brakes and vacuum supplied to the system. Even though it doesn't need it. Won't go into detail now but this ought, basically, to be an easy thing to do, connecting into the towed cars braking system mechanically but some idiot decided it had to be able to use the servo, despite the fact that system supplies easily enough pressure to the pedal even without the servo. and there is the business of making holes in the bodywork or through the grille etc. Can't see us having time to do this now.:(
I'll deffo look into using a dolly, it might actooly be the answer.
Thanks again mate for making me think out of the box!!:):):)

What a pain!
I'm glad you can still go into a bank and talk to someone!
We are with the Royal W@nk of Scotland and not only do they no longer have a branch in Poole or Bournemouth, they are closing the one in Southampton. We have two accounts with them. Although they do say we can go into a branch of another bank that they own.
Glad you got sorted out so relatively quickly. Though it must have been a pain and not just a bit worrying.:)

Banks are all SCUM-SUCKING low-life money-laundering ar$eholes. ALL of the UK majors anyway. They have all been caught out (esp. HSBC).
For them, the fines for being "naughty" is just a cost of doing business. Until the whole board goes to jail for complicity OR they lose their banking licenses nothing will ever change.:mad::mad::mad: /rant.

My recon alternator has packed up in my Evo tis a feckn nightmare to remove
They recommend taking off the inlet manifold & fuel rail bla bla or removing the osf strut ect
I managed to remove it out the top between the servo & inlet :D:D (stress aint the word)
Had to kneel in the engine bay.

Well done mate.:):)
Now you've done it twice you must be getting good at it.;)
Kneeling in an engine bay, sounds painful.
At least it's so clean there will be no dirt on the knees of your jeans!!;)

Cheers, Mate!

What dimwit came up with the idea of connecting up to the servo  If your towing a trailer with a
car on it which weighs more & they still use the trailer brakes
Its always great to have us lot to help out. :):)
