But that may make 2 parts that work together but don't work with anything else?
I need to make these threads compatible with the standard Bicycle threads of other bits that I need to buy in.
The stuff I need to make is custom to my application of those parts. :)
I believe this is how commonality and regularisation of threads etc started. Up until not that long ago companies had their own threads and fuck everyone else.

When i worked flogging Enots pneumatic control equipment, its imperial stuff STILL had their own special thread, and this was in 1975/6!!!!!!!
Their metric stuff was standard though.
I think it was designed in to prevent punters buying in stuff from our competitors and putting it with Enots stuff.
So you could go with your own standard, but you would have to make ALL your own stuff, which as you say would prolly be impractical.

Yes Stevie Wonder IS completely blind, so why the feck does he wear glasses ?
and yet he has 9 kids by 5 women!
Why do we bother being sighted!!!?????
Anyway the guy is a pure genius !!
More power to him!:):):):)
Some blind peeps wear them because of their eye movements. Some suffer with it more than otgers. It can make them and others feel unconfootable.

When the wind dropped ut weekend eye put me clothes oot to dry. The stand fell over onto edgar burr-e's ok. It was dark un eye missed one t shurt. Found it wiv edgar next day ont floor. Eye din't use me woshin line as eye fort it were too dangerous assits only shelturd by trees and a fence.

Cut up me plastic yesdi for me alarm magnets. Eye has lunrt yer need to chop down the pull oot, wiv me sor. That way it chips less ont rear. Me eye deer wurked will but yer cant shut the winda because ov da raised height and the angle. Ok ont biggerer windas. So eye will need to move the magnet to a different position on some ov them. Eye has also had ter order some fikka plastic. Will need some longer screw fer that so eye will hafter go ter 3.5mm. Fikka plastic as some of da sensers need to be raised instead. They be wider and varying eye'ts. Me dremmul in a little pilla drill stand wurked well. First time eye used the stand.

There be two pots of gold in me garding. Anybody lend me a shovel and a couple of strong bin bags? :)

Been a reasonably busy boy today.
Checked the electricals out for the MOT, (oops, just realised I forgot the number plate lights why do I always do that?)
The offside headlight washer wasn't working. so got the cover off over where the screw is. The head was rusty, obvs, gave it a bit of a go with a normal Philips driver, it was only going to round out, so went and got my new best friend, my impact driver.
Despite having been brilliant when unscrewing all the bits on the lawnmower, this time it managed (well I managed) to crack the plastic, where the screw sits, off the rest of it. Leaving the screw still in the plastic and the bumper.
So I got the screw out and saw the tube wasn't there at all. No wonder it didn't work.
Crawled under where the dodgy foglight is, which I will also have to remove for the MOT and saw a tube with drops of water on the end, good sign!;)
It'll be tight making it go back through all the holes and onto the washer, even if it will stay attached to it. :(
So I ordered a new 'un It'll be prettier than the old'un attached to the bumper with a longer screw through a penny washer or summat!;)
AND it comes with a load of tube which should help.
So left that alone, got in the body and removed the bigger of the two back seats, which I always have to do as I have been too lazy for years to repair it so it locks into place in the up position. Heavy bastid but I has the knack having done it about 4 times now. :)
Then moved the driver's seat forward, unplugged the pesky SRS connector and used a chocblock to reconnect the single existing wire that it connected, having done t'other ages ago. Working now, hopefully more consistently than it used to!;)
Fink I'll just pop out and look at the number plate lights.;)
Have a good evening folks!!:):):)

Another method of setting a parking distance in a garage that I have heard of is to have a tennis ball on a string hanging from the ceiling. It is placed so that you drive forwards until your windscreen touches the ball. :)
