Your lump talks to you?! :p
Some days you is the Tratterer, others you is the pig :)

I couldn't help but smile at this post.:):):)
Here we have a member of LZ who apparently went out on a lovely date with a nice woman but all he goes on about, beyond her being "fine" is her fecking CAR!
I hope she doesn't read this. Mind you, it might give her a laugh!;););)
I do hope you see her again and again, and again.
Evoque or no Evoque!!!!!!!!!:):):):):):):):):)

@Stanleysteamer , that's funnier than it seems - turns she's an out and out petrolhead. Loves old cars and especially Landies, previously had multiple MG Midgets, a super smart late Porsche 928...and has a fully restored roof open Nissan Figaro as a summer time girl about town run-around

Where in France? If i say 1200 miles round trip at a generous 20mpg from my p38 that's around 60 gallons

Call it £600 including ferry, fuel, covid tests etc etc

Oops i forgot about international breakdown insurance
Funnily. Since reading this, I remember when we got burgled and I had to go therte and back quickly. I claimed every penny for the journey there and back. Autoroute tolls etc in a Disco and there wasn't much change out of €1000. And that was a few years ago now!

Still should not have fallen down though.

Note to self: Get a taxi home, don't try to walk.

Last night met a fine girl for a date in Oxford. Had a great time not leaving restaurant 'til midnight. She arrived with big smiles as had just bought a brand new Evoque...!! Have to say I really like the very latest Evoque, not for me, for their design lines and this was in a very attractive blue-grey colour with super duper alloy wheels. Had a look inside...the thing lights up like a Christmas tree with ignition on...similar to the 69 amigos. Apparently JLR now offer client training days to learn what all the soft function buttons do [utterly ridiculous].

We said our gone midnight under the mistletoe goodbyes and I headed home. Came off A34, heading along local country B road and noticed a Rozzer mobile parked nose-in in a farm yard entrance, slowed down, passed Rozzer mobile and continued on my way. 5mins later a car drove up very close to me and followed for about a mile then it too lit up like a Christmas tree, this time the lights were BLUE !! Indicated and pulled up. Got out of the car to be greeted by a couple of traffic plods. I welcomed their greeting by replying, "Good evening Orificers, is everything okay...any reason why I've been stopped?" They replied they were "Looking for a car..." I thought this somewhat odd and confirmed, "Well you're not having my car..." They laughed saying it must be another car they're looking for o_O

I wished them a good weekend and a happy Christmas.

Q? Is this the standard of plodding rozzer intelligence these days...going out onto the public highway to look for a car of no name? It's bloody obvious that one would find a 'car' on the public highway. Or, were they just bored and pulled me over for a bit of seasonal fun...?
When police talk to peeps they often hold back info. Never know who they is talking to or if it will be passed on. Hence mot tellin yer which make un model.
