It's only an affectionate term for all the "popping" sounds as they manipulate the spine. ;)
Been, and it was relatively painless and already effective. :)
Apparently (may be nonsense) he cannot do too many adjustments at once because the increased sensory input would overwhelm me?
But he did prove the worth of one of the 3 he did with a straightforward before/after comparison. I was impressed.
Another session tomorrow and then one on Thursday.

If its working then thats great:).
My Dad once did his back badly and went to a bone cruncher for about 3mths if I remember but it sorted him. The bone cruncher was blind:) did it all by feel.

How much is it short in total width?
Would it be easier to shove it to 1 side, then go see you friendly DG place and raid the bin for an upright to fill the gap in UPVC.

270mm short in length. So I'll fit a 4 x 2 at each end vertically, to form new reveals. And fill the gaps at each side with L-shaped fascia boards, in upvc. I already raided the friendly DG dealer to get the window, they have a warehouse full of good used stuff and brand new stuff which the surveyor got wrong, I got a top quality window, a bit too good for a garage. I need a new patio door for Wimblowdriver Towers so I might have another peek in the warehouse :D

Been yet another lovely day!:):)
Fascias and soffits all done, blokes gone, now we just have to pay the bill and await the scaffold bashers coming to remove their bits. ;)
Think we might hang on to some of the money until the scaffold has gone, as they joked it might take till Christmas.;););)
Have a lovely evening folks.:):):)

My scaffies are coming tomorrow lunchtime to leave their tubings ..

...that I bit the bullet and after my lunch I went up to the old bag's MIL's place with herself to see what might be wrong with her water heating.
Open circuit across the plug (Fuse had gone?). Plug she plugs in is all browned and starting to show signs of being burnt. Measured across the wires and c.20 Ohms so the immersion had not gone.
Pulled the fuse out and put a new one I had taken with me in and then plugged it in the socket (also burnt) and after a few minutes the plug was warm to the touch so it must be passing current.
I set a kitchen timer for 35 minutes and told her to run a hot tap and call us to let us know. Is all I am prepared to do right now.

prolly better get that heat of plug sorted before it turns to a self combustion device ...

Windies and doars ...
When we had ours done, they did it all from either ground level or in the case of upstairs, from inside.
We had replacement Upvc. They were replacing the original single glazed wood frame ones.
So rather interested in the need for scaffolding. Perhaps they are made in such a way that they simply have to be removed from the outside.
Oops forgot to mention that our house is timber-framed, I bet that's the difference.

Ours is a three storey town house ... it's a long way to drop a windie ... and a stretch to silly cone the top of the frames ...
