Guid morn
Looking like a dry day so have got a washing hung oot.
Still awaiting contract for new job, perhaps they have changed their minds and think Im over qualified ! chance would be a fine thing.
Otherwise will take the Defender for a wee run if only to clear the surface rust off the discs as has been sitting for 10 days.
Have a terrific Tuesday
:cool:

Got to bed about 1:15 this a.m.
The sound/noise of the rain hitting the window was the loudest I have ever heard.

Then this morning I remembered we have scaffold planks outside the windows!!!:rolleyes:
Got up at 7:00 this morn to move cars onto the street so the fascia peeps will be able to park on the drive.
8:54, breakfast had, etc etc. They still haven't turned up.
This after two phone calls last night saying they will be here today.
Hmmmmm.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
(Two mornings up early is getting to me!);););)
Checked online, the all singing, all dancing imidacloprid and moxidectin pipettes like wot the vet gave us for the dog yesterday are only available from the vets.:mad::mad::mad:
For some weird reason our dogs, well some of them, seem to be scratching more than usual despite our normal flea and tick treatment.
I never know when our vet mentions things like "mange" which none of our dogs have ever had, and which apparently comes via foxes which we also never have on our land either here or in France, whether he is being straight with us or just fishing for yet more expensive business.
Especially as neither of the two French vets who treated the dog, who just cannot stop licking her leg/paw, one rear then one fore, ever mentioned "mange".
Wish I could trust him like we can trust our French ones. And there are literally only two practices nearby and the other was even worse. For wanting money more than seems comfortable. And more money than seems comfortable. :mad::mad::mad::mad:
£76 for examining the dog and three pipettes of stuff. Which i am absolutely not convinced she needs. FFFFFS!:mad::mad::mad:

Morning All :D
That was some rain last night...Wow! The roaring noise woke me up. :)
Went for the paper this morning and a fuel tanker was on the forecourt and the Kake was present at proceedings.
A queue (of selfish idiots) was already forming along the high street. :mad:
Have a lovely day. :D

Well the day has been different. The fascia soffit guys turned up at about 9:30 and have been working away ever since.
Very pleased to report no, or very little damage to the ends of the trusses so the new stuff is going on quick as you like. The Swedish pine they made them out of must have been that slowgrowing stuff someone mentioned on another thread. At this rate they'll be gone in another day or two's time, prolly 1 1/2.
My other pooter has packed up due to the power supply cable giving up the ghost. There seems to be a break in the wire near the plug into the pooter. The transformer shows a light. But no juice at the small plug, or little flickers on my meter, but just once I got about 12V, for a second as I moved the cable around.
Whatever, I'll have to get a new one.:(:(
Got a bit concerned this morn as a good friend of mine emailed me to say he was very sick.
so I replied, as you'd expect, then he got back onto me to.....well to cut a long story short, it's a scam.
Big relief matey isn't ill!
Just thinking up how to stick it to the scammer.
Think I'll tell him I am short of funds, but if he gives me his bank details he can wire me some money. To pay for the spurious items he is asking me to get for him. In France. (The mate he piggy-backed knows we are in the UK!)
I will of course not divulge any real bank details etc. How about giving him my sh!tty neighbour's address?
Blast, forgotten their surname.!
All good fun!

:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Just remembered I promised Wifey I'd clear up the study this arvo while she is with her cronies, sewing. Idiot that I am !
Enjoy the rest of the day folks.:):):):)
