Well the weather today has varied tween sun and rain.
We were expecting the scaff blokes in tomorrow to do their biz before the others come in to do the fascias and soffits.
So went out today to clean up the dog poo. Discovered the grape vine has collapsed all along the end wall of the house.. Dunno really why except that the weather has been rather sh!t and it is full of grapes. So gave up on it rather as it is simply lying on the ground.
BUT the bloke from the fascia company rang us tonight to say that they can't be with us tomoz.
So we will have a chance to secure the vine back to the wall.
This year has been particularly good for grapes in France and it would appear, judging by the crop we have awaiting picking, much the same over here.
I have made wine from them in the past but it's a lot of work. They are more table grapes really, with a delightful little taste of strawberries. I used to take them to work back in my working days and just leave a large bunch on the table in the faculty room. There were never any left at the end of each day!

Morning all, failed to secure any diesel again this morning. Five forecourts, four shut and the fifth were out of diesel (I discovered after queuing for 20 mins!).
Still we have fuel in the Koleos to go and get the contract signed this morning. The 90 will have to stay here until we can get fuel for it.

Damp but not raining and a heavy morning mist is lingering but that should soon clear as the sun is trying its best., it is what I would call a real autumnal day.
@My Old Landy, enjoy this long awaited day. It is a pity you are in the wrong direction as we seem to be more than adequately supplied over here and my tank is still half full after my recent exploits.
I know it's Monday but that's no reason why you all should not enjoy it, after all it is one day nearer Friday.

No, we are way past the gift giving stage.
She's had Ruby's & Diamonds etc. etc. and I got SFA each time and then she said "Stop, I've more expensive earrings than I will ever wear".
So we re-open the same cards each year and stick them on the mantle, and put them away again a few days later for the next year.
