Is yer Tratter busted?
S1 been painted for a wedding the weekend
Make sure yer buy round ones this time. Will save having to cut the corners oft.The missus' Nissan X-Trail just passed MOT, no advisories, but suggested she swap front for rear tyres ... I was thinking it shouldn't pass and we needed new ones ..
So that's me getting a new set then ... Maxxis Creepy Crawlies I think, if I can get them. Heard very good things about these.
Mind, at double the price of my current Malatestas, I might do a Yorkshireman and carry on with what I have, just new ones!

They do look very nice Paul, but what do you reckon they'd be like for side slope driving? They look like they have a sort of grove that runs laterally across the whole tyre so maybe would slide?
Yeah, I thought that, but they reckon they're very grippy anyway!
Gotta be said though, despite them also being cheaper, I've had good mileage, wear resistance and grip from these Malatestas ... and with Maxxis being twice the price it's really a no-brainer, other than I'd like a bit bigger than the 238 85's I have .. but Malatesta only do 265 75 and 285 75, which are hardly larger diameter just mostly wider, which I don't need, hence why I'm looking. I'm also considering BFG KM2's .... I'd like original pattern Simex, but they're even more than the Maxxis and BFG! I don't like Insa's, way too hard compound for my liking. Also considering Silverstone 35 10.50 but again, expensive. I have the money, for once, but want value, and spending twice the price for only a little gain isn't a great solution.
The tyes on ine still have a fair bit of life left in them, they've just lost their edges so are starting to slide more than I like, so I'll take my time before actually buying.
