....that "Operation "Bog-Fix" was eventually :mad::mad: a success. :)
The steel tie-plate had completely rusted away and had delaminated and stuck itself to both the cistern and the pan.
It was a real job to get it all off and cleaned back to the glazed earthenware.
I put it all together (first time :mad::mad:) and then found that the new siphon flush fouled the operation of the float valve.
I had to re-arrange things and now the flush handle is on the opposite side (that will confuse folks). ;)
But, it is all back together, the supply hose has also been changed (30 yrs old) and there are NO LEAKS on either supply or waste side (an unusual result, as something always leaks when you even look at a plumbing job). :)
The extra dismantle/replace cycle means I have decided that that is it for today (I've had enough). :D

No, we were delivering LFD's to various locations around the Island.
There have been some issues with members of the public being nasty and in some cases assaulting members of the health service so it was decided that we would deliver them to help them out.
What is wrong with people? Assaulting anyone is bad, a health worker, just belies belief :(

@DanClarke

Just out from the last cooling down period, 27 in the pool today must be cos we topped it up, by heck its refreshing when you have been working in the sun and your bod is hot:eek:.
its slow work in the sun after 10am, Still got some done and its looking ok, should get the last of the first section down tomorrow then clean and oil. then on to the next section which need a bit of concrete work for the supports so maybe a bit slower. Still I guess I have nothing else to do (well except the rest of the list:rolleyes:) just need to plod on:D.
