No, I have never before deemed it an essential! Air con in wales????? Ha Ha, a big umbrella I could understand the need. :) My big difficulty is not the internal temperature so much but the total lack of any shade outside for the K9s to hide in. The big one does have the sense to get under the van and stay there for the day but the little one just does not seem to approve of this, instead, he wants to stay inside with me all the time. Having a very long, thick coat does not help when trying to keep cool. Normally, they would be having a daily douche in the cold mountain stream but that is just not an option where we are in the 'van.
We agreed ours need trimming.
Normally we do it but it takes half a day per dog as we are not pros and my clippers always seem to feck up in one way or another. Also our doggies are not as calm with us as they are with our normal lady, for some reason.
So this a.m. decided to try and find a dog groomer locally. Having never done this afore I looed on Google and French Yellow pages came up with two addresses, I clicked on the first one's website link and all hell broke loose on my pooter, lots of stuff "instructing " me in French out the speakers and screens flashing, also told me not to turn the pooter off. so did of course.
Long story short, been hacked somehow, so went off and did the shopping, in a not good mood. Cam back switched it back on and did a Norton update, which i was relieved I could get far enough into the pooter to do, then a quicks scan. Came up with nothing of course, so we are back to square one.
but at least the pooter seems a bit usable. hope it lasts!
Hot here again. Just about to open the pool. Still need to clean it but it got to 23 degrees yessdi and a rise of 2 degs in a day is a lot!
Haave a nice one gang!:):):):)

Mine are what is known as a 'natural' breed so they are NEVER clipped although I do sometimes feel the urge to ask the groomer to sheer it all off! The trouble is that it does not grow back as it was originally. :(

Ours shouldn't be clipped either, they should be "stripped". and when we got our first an ex-colleague who showed at Crufts, stripped her for us. But it took for ever.
so after she moved away we just got them clipped.
However the latest, she with the dad who was a national champion in Poland or somewhere, will not let us anywhere near her with them so she has her head and legs/paws/chest cut but the rest we leave alone. It drops out eventually.
And as you say, once clipped it never goes back to what it should be and you could never show them like that, not that we have the slightest intention of doing this!:);)

@doriz have you visited the Bomber Command museum outside of Lincoln before?
There is an aviation museum at East Kirkby, near Horncastle. Well worth a visit if you are up that way. They have a lancaster bomber which they bring out a couple of times a day and fire up the engines and taxi around - its not airworthy though. And an interesting collection of wrecked aero engines from WW2. Think they have a mosquito as well if I remember right. All based at a WW2 Raf station.

Cheers, I just had a look on the map and it is only 20 miles from my folks place. I will have to go as I like that sort of stuff :)
