Tis sad news. There were 3 baby owls. Small, medium and biggerer. All chicks int same nest box. The smaller one weren't growing as fast as the others. Not sure iffit were the last born. Earlier this week it were lay ont nest floor not moving for many hours. Now it has gone. Me finks it wasn't string enuff to continue. Poor fing won't gerra chance to fly. Rip.
That is sad. Let's hope the rest of the clutch stay healthy.

The potential purchaser has engaged a solicitor and have requested mine so I think it is a serious offer. I have had to get one sorted this morning!!.
That is quite normal. As soon as the buyer has an offer accepted by the seller, the agent requests you fill a form in and this is the type of info asked about. It does not necessarily show the level of commitment, so beware.
I have had it where my buyer withdrew from the purchase on the day of exchange of contracts - everything was A1 at 9am but by noon they had withdrawn. It transpired they had TWO properties 'on the go' and only made up their minds at the moment they HAD to sign. There are far too few people in the property buying market who have your principles. :(

Afternoon folks:)

well thats another retired day of work done, and a dip too cool off:D
Only the last bend and down pipe to do on the guttering, Oh and place the wata butt which probably means it wont rain now;).
I can hear some fundering in the distance but not too close right now. Its 30 in the shade atm, even our white patio stone is hot on the bare feet.

The Male will be in the minority tomozz so I guess I must remember not to skinny dip:eek:.

Weekend for the workers enjoy:)

Off to get measured up for my socks/stockings soon! Oooh er, matron!;);););)
Spent a long time this a.m. trying to convince my mobile to access the NHS app.
As I have no idea about all this "roaming" stuff. God I HATE smartphones. Smart? The only thing they make smart is my ass!
I'm gonna have to go out and about and make it work. And it takes so LONG for it to load. If everyone takes the same time to load it on their phone at the ferry terminal the ship will never sail!
Loads in seconds vie Wi-Fi. Maybe they'll give us all a Wi-fi address at the port!

is that for 3 socks she will measure:eek::eek:.

Cant you just download it and save/print.

I lived in a very large touring caravan for 18months away with work.
Then another 9months while looking for our house.
Funny pulling up out side the house with a caravan & moving the few bits we had in
We did exactly that when we bought this bungalow and that was in 2003! We had been living in the van for four months and all our furniture was in store but the removers could not get it to us for at least three weeks. Then, at 5.30pm on the evening before our move they called us to say they had just had a cancellation and would do it the next day. Phew! We drove over with the van and me and the dogs curled up and went to sleep in the caravan until everything was finished. :D We all stayed in the 'van for that night and then set up the house the next day.:) Modern caravans are certainly comfortable beasts.:)

When we bought this place the lady who owned it tried to pull out at the last minute. She did not realise the financial penalty. She would have had to pay the 1% to the agents as the wording in those days said it was due if they pulled out 'for no good reason' along with the full solicitors fees. It was a few grand (a lot 18 years ago!) and she decided to stick with it thankfully!

Well what a waste of time!

1/ the nurse couldn't do anything as the doc hadn't iordered a "Doppler" test. He was really apologetic but there is no appt available before I go. someone shoot this doc. He suggests I get "flight socks" which was more or less what I was going to do anyway, just wanted advice on size and pressure.:mad::mad:
2/ on way out checked at reception that the prescription i had requested on Monday, or maybe Tuesday was "being actioned". (90 days drugs)
After a feck of a lot of checking around they (yes it took 2 receptionists to not know what was going on, despite the fact one of them was the one I handed the request to) they weren't sure but thought it might have got to the doc. They looged on to his computer, (he was a few yards away in his room) and said "oh he's typing now" "yes he's ok'd them", then the bint reckoned she had sent the scrip to the pharmacy. So I left, gritting my teeth.
3/ Got home to find that the paper proofs of vaccination had arrived in the post. FINALLY.
4/ managed after a heck of a lot of fecking around, to get the NHS to email me a copy of the proof, which I then emailed to this pooter so I could print it off if nec. and don't ask me how Io managed this as it took about 4 goes and I was totally unsure it would work.

I clicked on all the download stuff from the app to try and get it downloaded on my phone, 4 times, and each time the phone told me it had not worked.

Imagining all the peeps up and down the country going through all this. they imply it is so simple!
Still, got it now in various forms.
Wifey still has to do her's:rolleyes:

...and surely you would have paid a deposit by then, in which case you actually owned it, you just hadn't finished paying fopr it by then!
When wifey was still married to her ex they went and saw the peeps selling a house and "encouraged" them to take a deposit.
Later on they wanted to pull out of the sale cos they thought they could get more money. They were furious when it became clear to them that the deposit bound them to the sale.;)

Good job you are retired and have all the time in the world;).

Sounds like taking a holiday is almost as stressful as moving house these days:eek:.

Hate red tape:(

But think of the good to come:):).
