I can't wait until we have moved because I will really be able to forget time/days/month and even what year it isits ok there's always the day after tomorrow, its Sunday or is it Saturday again

I too was surprised he didn't leave staff on call to do his bidding....Haven't you got a friendly manservant you could hire for a day to at least get it under some sort of control

Well we do have very good neighbours and one, Pascal a local handy man, has already been in and, as far as we know, taken at least one cut. Like he did last year. And he don't charge too much.Haven't you got a friendly manservant you could hire for a day to at least get it under some sort of control

Cheers, most of the bungalows at 200k are either Norfolk or Shropshire & Staffordshire. We can up the budget but I don't really want too! We both love the Dales and I'd move there in the blink of an eye. Maybe it's because I'm a northerner by birth but I always feel happier up there inasmuch as the peeps up there are more ready to take you as you are.
The only worry my mrs has is not being too far from a hospital
We aren't too bothered about the weather as when it is cold and wet it is cold and wet all over the country, and, as you know, we normally spend the summer 6 months abroad.
But then the Dales ain't cheap either. Dunno how many bungalows with garaging you could find there for £200K.
At the end of the day it depends on what you are looking for. There are other nice areas "oop north". Some cheaper than others.
