I hooted my horn when I went past @Marmaduke
I'm only jealous I think you have a great setup over there!hummmm
I wish it was only painting and decorating I needed to finish the house, the garage work at the moment seems to be only if something is broke.
But we are now getting to the point that beyond 11am it’s too hot, the only answer is to start at 6am. Don’t think thats gonna happen. So it will probably be back in the house type work, but hey all in a good cause. After all you don’t get a west wing by sitting on your arse.

Wait until winter, he'll be blaming global warming as an excuse for doing nowtHe will say it's too wet to do anything when it rains. He says it's too hot to do anything when the sun shines!
He is a retiree like us only he actually gets time to himself unlike us!!!!
Its that rules are rules book coming into play mate,My gas is getting cut off tomorrow for 2 days while they replace the incoming gas main.
It is going to be "interesting" as the young fella' says he cannot run the new PLASTIC pipe they are changing the metal supply-pipe out for into my workshop as its an enclosed space inside the house.
The gas meter in the neighbours house next door is inside the house under the stairs (where mine used to be).
So, they are allegedly going to put a fragile plastic pipe up the outside of my garage wall and then change to steel (as it is today) and run a steel pipe across my garage floor to the meter.
Because? "Roolz mate, Roolz".
Now that fragile plastic pipe at mains pressure and before any regulator will be out in the open where the foxes and badgers have been digging under my house and under the gravel-boards of my new fencing. I do hope this plastic pipe is "animal proof".
Go figure, because I can't.

Is that when you use your winter snow kitchen........Nope even the Snow don’t stop us…. Unless we decide to do nowt

As a bloke who loves fiddling with me mechanical clocks, it pains me to say this, but it is prolly easier to stick a cheap batt powered quartz movement. But it'd need to be strong enough to take the weight of big hands.I have a weight indicator from an oil rig that I would like to convert into a clock ( its a stashed away mancave project so no rush)
It is about 18inches across so will need a pretty big clock mech fitted behind.
Where did you get the kit please. I was going to just get a big "kitchen clock" and modify it. When I get round to it that is .

Indeed, the high torque ones as I suggested in my later postAs a bloke who loves fiddling with me mechanical clocks, it pains me to say this, but it is prolly easier to stick a cheap batt powered quartz movement. But it'd need to be strong enough to take the weight of big hands.
When we were putting up our poly tunnel wegot up at5:30 to get stuff done before we were out of the shadow of the house. Still, very happy we did it.hummmm
