@kevstar if you want to see the plot I am on about, go to Google earth, 43degrees27'44" N 2degrees22'19" E
There you will see the plot with the part built bits on it, the plot to the southwest which is clear belongs to someone else who is not building on it. Our place is obvious and we have cut off the top NE triangle of it as we don't use it. We might sell it one day, as two plots. So our land is 6000 sq metres too.
The bit below the one next to ours is smaller. Tragic story there, family bought it to build an eco house on, lovely peeps, then the husband got killed in a motorbike accident. Wife has just kept the plot clean ever since.:(

Had a pigeon kept sitting in me tree. Me smaller burds normally hang around in there but not when the pigeon is about. Eye then realised there were some smaller sticks appearing between branches. Edgar said they were building a nest. So the next day eye teld them ter move on again. Following day they were back again. Twigs removed this time and teld again ter move on. Now me little burds have returned and hang around in me tree. Hopping between branches playing.
We saw a pair of finches, we think, today, with like a red button just on top of the beak. Really colourful little things. Never seen them before.:):):)

Evening folks:)

Busy day here (ish;))
M took the trailer out to pickup another orse for a friend, and I did the work planned for the day:)
The cars need a wash, maybe tomorrow as it’s the weekend I might treat them:D

Yes it is, it’s Ms. But yes sleeping, cooking, cold beer, Tv and a Loo available in front bit so I don’t complain:), brought back from the UK cos they know how to do orse trailers in luxury :D, it’s actually the 3rd we towed back. Don’t think there will be a 4th now as “B” has messed with the taxes that may have to be paid.

As you asked! View attachment 237847 View attachment 237848 View attachment 237849

It was actually quite hard to photograph, light on or off!
The thin metal hoop/J shaped things that hold the glass drop things, 4 mm coated steel rod. One of them snapped away from the base. They had been spot welded on in some way. real sod to maintain in position while sticking in with epoxy.
Anyway up know, all 36 of the blighters, and Wifey is V happy:):):):):):)

Good job well done very posh. :):)

Wow!
Hard to believe that!
Light fittings are a hell of a price. We were well happy to get this thing for £38. It's sort of seventies I'd imagine but is great for the stairwell. And is more effective in that it casts more light than the previous thing which actually had three bulbs with more wattage of light.
Still can't believe you Mrs just gave them away.
In France we have got a thing that dangles about 2-3 feet with a light about every 6"-7". It looks great but it wasn't cheap.
Stairwell lights are fascinating. Had a mate once whose parents lived in a 14th century manor house. Their stairwell light hung a huge way down, it had a thing like a cartwheel for each floor and there were at least three of them. So each cart wheel had lights on it.
We have tried to find Art Deco lights for our place in France and have had some success. An original hangs over our bed in the master bedroom but the big steal was the Pirouette light we found in an antiques market and I bought Wifey for a burfday or summat.

Ours is better than this one as it has the authentic green panels on the back as well as the white/clear panels.
I paid less than €100 and what these pics don't show is that it extends upwards as well as angles all over the place, so it can be a desk lamp as well as a table lamp.:):):):)

You got a wee bargain then happy days :D They are expensive. If youve got a good eye you
will get some right good finds. Well done ;)

Haha I fink the speedo has a wee fault as it only works once a week o_O
Keep it just the way it is!!!!
Wifey's Pluriel can be changed from miles to kilos, but we discovered, at MOT time that, having changed it to kilometres in Frogland, the miles had simply disappeared.
Which would be handy if we were trying to sell it, but annoying if you are trying to keep track for service intervals.

It aint hard for me to keep track I do mine every year, my evo is in km but a few years ago a tester put
miles fkn nob after he asked then fkd it :( kept it in miles but its easy to see on the mot check that it
ties in, think its on 86k what ever that works out in miles.

You have to work like hell to find a bargain in Frogland. They are not allowed to have as many sales as we can here. Where we can have as many car boots as we want, in Frogland each town or village can only have about 2 a year. Ditto with sales in shops. Weird or what?!
But you can do it and I have managed to buy Wifey some nice glass items in these places.
It actually can be better if you are looking for more modern stuff. We managed to get an ice cream maker for 10€ that had only been used once. Works brill!
But I missed an achromatic Hohner harmonica for €40 which was even in a case. I'm just too tight!
