We all know you are anything BUT lazy.
Lucky...Yes. Lazy...No.
That's not a half-bad idea
I need to do an oil change on me gearbox first though as me noo T55 bit arrived this week. Sods law that I find my existing one now
TBH did think about that but the time it would have taken me to make a steamer etc it was easier to make my tool and just crack on. They do look extremely like the ones you have been using. I thought about replacing the worst ones but the only ones I could fin with exactly the same pattern but more importantly of the same thickness, were in Toulouse, 1 1/2 hours away. In the end I had absolutely no spares at all.You could have steamed them Stanley haha
FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!Last day of my first week tomorrow and it's a half-day

(Why would that help? Dunno! Just thort I'd say it. Acksherly you'd be better orf cutting thm all in half and keeping the other halves!)
1/ It would have to be a feck off wide bore bit of pipe seeing how bent they were!Simple steamer.... bit of pipe, wooden stop for both ends drill a hole in one wooden end
& a few in the pipe an a wallpaper stripper. Tis what I knock up for boat repairs.
1/ It would have to be a feck off wide bore bit of pipe seeing how bent they were!
2/ once steamed, I'd have to not only straighten them but also unwind them, lots of pegs on boards etc
3/ it'd have taken ages, and can you imagine being near all that steam and hot wood working in a French summer temp of 35 degs plus? I'd have died!
But yes, if you need to, you do it. Prolly more important on a boat where they need to keep the watter out!

Reminds me of the time I met a lady in a club and took her back to her place.
She stripped off and stood naked in front of me, except for a wedding ring........which I hadn't noticed before.
I asked her where her husband was.
"Doing the night shift at Stothert and Pitt" quoth she.
For some stupid reason I left after an hour or so.
I could have stayed a lot longer!!!!!!
Yep, bit dodgy doing night shifts!Thank fook I never worked at Stothert and Pitt
