Booked a blood test today, for next Monday! It is all stream lined now to minimise time in the hospital. Covid has had some benefits in sorting out certain services.
Me mum had a pre chemo blood test on Toosday followed by an appointment with the doctor. So she hangs around for a bit after the blood test and then goes round to the part of the hospital where the doctors office is, to be told the test results haven't arrived yet so can she please wait. Hour later they still haven't arrived and asked to wait. 2 hours later they still hadn't arrived, but had her appointment where she was told the opposite of her previous appointment she could go home and if there were problems with the blood tests they would let her know. So she rings up her boyfriend to collect her, he goes over, picks her up, drops her off home and 10 minutes later the hospital rings... got your blood test results, can you come back in please! So in she goes again and hooked up to a couple of drips for a couple of hours before going home.

So Wednesday she has to have another blood test to make sure things have been corrected before the chemo. She hangs around, but quite quickly she gets a call from the chemo team saying blood tests are back, all OK and can she make her way over to start her chemo. So she goes over there. Hello they say, can you just wait here please. An hour and a half later they come back and say they are ready now.

I think they are in competition with A&E to see who can rack up the longest waiting times.

Cracked and put some ticklers on the horses :D
Couple of years ago my son had his works Christmas dinner. After the dinner the boss's horse was running in a race at the Addington Raceway (trotting) so a group of them shoot over to Addington. He'd never been to the races before or put a bet on a horse, the boss's horse was a 30-1 rank outsider of an old nag, so the twat puts $20 (£10) on it. His first ever bet, and he goes and wins $600 :D Jammy bastard.

I would say that it won't be easy but I've just proved to myself that I can live on a reduced income.
It's all about finking wisely. Yer dun't need the fastest internet. Buy a fone rather than renting one. Yer dun't need an eggspensive fone anorl. Yer dun't need loads of paid for channels on yer telly. Freesat has enough unless yer get the use oat the paid ones. Few do. Don't buy from costa and others when yer oat and about. Buy a normal size telly when yours is broked. Dun't buy one ferra 1000 sovs. 300 to 400 is more than enough. Do the same for other electrical goods unless there's a real benefit. Don't smoke and limit yer alcohol. Tis amazing how fings like this can add up quite a bit over the year.
