Same here I went to the yard & got the Manitou first thing to get a pallet of block from the builders
yard next door nice n sunny, drove next door ffs howing wind & sideways rain I got soaked putting
ratchet straps on the block. :( Drove 1 1/2 miles to the job at 10mph & it was sunny wtf it was like that all day,
Plus we had some hail stone showers. o_O

I think they just tax all Band Fs the same. Could be worse, some Band Fs are smaller.

We don't have council tax over here but we do have something similar called property rates.
Mine is £600 a year. :D

Well i took my socks and slippers off and ......
no, even wiv twenty fingers, thumbs and toes I can't manage it.
Give them a bell and change it!
We can change ours minorly on line, we is wiv Octopussy energy and they're quite good about it all. As you can imagine our consumption, in normal times, goes up a ton in the winter compared to the summer when we ain't here!

So you let your good lady pay all the bills etc? So do I, but I keep a bit of an eye on it. She tells me if things are a bit off, and I do the same in frogland. Where incidentally local taxes are similarly extortionate. But then we do have a house the same size on a .6 hectare plot and a pool, so maybe not too bad. Though froggies who live in the same "commune" moan like feck and wish they lived a few miles down the road!:(:(:(
 
...I played "Wood-Butcher" this afternoon to see what sort of angle-dangles my conservatory roof will be at.

This is a hand-cut (no lick-trick saws) eggsample to check my maffs and to confirm I have not been smoking anything "funny".
It works... And now I can play around with some angles to get some even stronger timber-to-timber connections.
