Well actually you are correctYer all being nasty to Freelander's because yer just can't admit yer bought the wrong vehicle.
Nope. The Freelander was going to be called the highlander but Volvo owned the name at the time so they couldn't use it. The name Freelander was used because it fitted in the same space and was already on the list of alternatives. Naming it was a problem as they didn't want the name to get out before the official announcemint.Fir cough Hippster!
