Prescription goggles from Glasses Direct. Normally buy one get one free but todays deal is same with another 50% off. I've used them for the past 6 or 7 years. I get through a few pairs cos I keep dropping them and such. They are so cheap now compared to the high street I treat them as consumables. How comes they be so cheep? I found that the online ones are just as good a fit and well made as high street fitted ones. One of my pairs is a varifocal, first pair of these - absolutely brilliant for driving (I was struggling to read the instruments) and can read the road signs well before getting close to them. I thought my long range vision was good but the optician who did my prescription said I was missing things and recommended varifocals. But he wanted about £900 for a pair - enough said. The expense comes when you have to wear them all waking hours as a better quality one is 1. stronger as well as fashionable, 2. better fitting, so more comfortable , 3. mostly more complex lens 4. properly fitted by the optician, 5. on-going help available from the optician if required.
Obeyed the over-riding government directive and advice, and your company punishes you for it. New job time.not been invited to the office party this year because i didn't attend the office at least 3 days a week during lockdown and instead worked from home

Yes, that's about it. They wanted me back full time the day the first lockdown ended on the basis that decided I'm not able to work from home.Obeyed the over-riding government directive and advice, and your company punishes you for it. New job time.
I'd rather not go to a party anywaysCuzza walrus, no office party, no drinkies, no soshalizin... We gets to choose a Namper instead
Can't tell you how happy I am about it!
Well I made the decision to sell my road going motorcycle today. I got offered what I wanted and he is coming over at the weekend to take it away. I haven't been able to ride for 3 years....
I always thought I may be able to again one day but realised it will not happen The trials bike went to the same chap.
Tis a sad day but inevitable c'est la vie

So no embarrassing snaps taken of your undercarriage on the office photocopier then.not been invited to the office party this year because i didn't attend the office at least 3 days a week during lockdown and instead worked from home
Nice one mate!OK a really good result on the revamp of the kitchen lighting today. I am very pleased (and so is the boss).
The mysteries of the 28-year sealed ceiling/floor void were navigated without too much difficulty and 12 LED downlighters and a 4-pot pendant were installed.
A dimmer (less-clever?) switch was installed so we still have 2-way switching, but instead of switching 2 ceiling roses/lights, we now have independent 2-way switching of the downlighters and pendant lights with dimming function from one end only (it is non-standard to have 2 dimmers at either end of a circuit).
I have some ceiling repair/rework to do, but it is far less than I had imagined.

They do have to give you your prescription when you go for an eye test, the only thing they won't give you is the distance between the centres of your pupils and the centre of your nose, but it ain't difficult to measure this yourself or with a friend, then you can go online and order them a heck of a lot cheaper.I found that the online ones are just as good a fit and well made as high street fitted ones. One is tempted to say "So wot you moaning about then?" But I won't cos it is only decent to be asked, and they isn't bein decent. Unless they do this to all others in your boots this is bullying behaviour, not that you, or i would be rsed to do owt about it!I'd rather not go to a party anyways
