Nah, they'll put 'I'm in a frock, on the checkout
I think the shop shuts at 8pm so he will soon get bored on the checkout (once he gets used to the frock)

Well Done Shimmy. pleased for you.I think I mentioned it a few weeks ago but it's working nights at a supermarket. I did an interview about 4 weeks ago but they sent me a "No Thanks" letter because they needed someone to start asap but I still had a month to go on my notice.
Anyway, they contacted me yesterday to see if I was still interested and this afternoon I signed all the paperwork.
The hours are very unsociable at 8pm 'til 7am but the pay is good and I'll only need to work 4 out of 7 days. There will of course be the opportunity for much overtime over the Christmas period which would help the bank balance.
Good evening
Escaped both Scotland & wales today but ended up near Lincoln.
Already dreading tommorows job as it’s in Grimsby.....

Unfortunately, the warmth of the welcome will depend on the answer to the question "Who did you vote for."Wave at @jamesmartin then ...
Very pleased for you Jason.Evening All.
It would appear that I have secured meself a full time job so unfortunately I won't be a man-of-lesiure over the Christmus period.
Not sure of the starting date yet but the HR lady is trying to arrange it so that I have a week off between leaving the current job and starting the new one.
And now it matches the ones in your neck! The Expensive SIP welding helmet that fell apart ...has been resurrected.
The headband mechanism broke where the pivot bolt on the RH side affixes the headband to the helmet via a ratcheted friction device just snapped into two halves.
The hollow plastic moulded bolt just sheared/pulled-apart.
I could not find any spares on the SIP web-site and so I got a cheap Chinese headband but its mechanism was somewhat different so I could not cannibalise it for parts.
At this point some ancient curses were invoked and a “Plan-B” was required.
So I resorted to drilling through the centre of both halves of the little axle-stud that had snapped into two (that fastens the internal rotating headband to the helmet itself).
I put a 3.5mm bolt in it and a nut on the inside (where they had conveniently moulded a counter-bored hole that it fitted into quite nicely).
All back together again and working.
Sometimes you can get a “Win”.
Sadly not.Hope you get staff discount before the Xmas shopping season!
Dammit... maybe this job isn't what I thought.Don't forget to fill the shelves NOT your belly!
Thanks Dan.Very pleased for you Jason.
A change is as good as a rest.
I hope that the reward/effort ratio will be more favourable.
Best Wishes.
Dan.
