I'm back after me two hours in bed but I'm not sure that I actually slept though but at least there was equal strain on all parts.

Don’t forget, if you hear a loud ticking noise, kick the bomb as hard as you can and that should stop it. I saw that handy tip on a u-choob video

Ok while you have been relaxing I have done a quick online bomb disposal course, it’s the ~~blue~~ red wire I think he said

Many years ago I had a wagon load of stone delivered to a site on the Isle of Dogs, there was an unexploded shell poking out of the pile. A quick assessment was it had survived being shot out of a naval gun, being sucked up a dredger, loaded into a wagon and tipped up. As there was no-one else around I chucked it in the Thames. It was only a small thing probably 2 inch bore or thereabouts but it was fckn heavy so it didn't go far.

I have returned safe and well.

Apparently it's a mortar but there is doubt as to whether it's a dummy or live munition hence the required attendance of the bomb squad.

They won't know how unstable it is. Standard practice seems to be to deal with each one found as yer find them. Some are still dangerous while others dead.
