Did it and the problems were, 1/ finding a bit of plain wall wifey had not put a painting or summat on! 2/ not using flash to avoid shadows although the red eye thing worked 3/ making sure the image was of the right density i.e.number of bytes! Even rotating the image really jiggered it! In fact the straightforward pic straight out the camera, even in landscape format with me on my side, seems to have worked fine! As with many things, once done it will be easy to do again!

All done on line. But will not be progressed until they get my old one. Luckily kind neighbours will post it for me tomorrow.

I told you they were fussy! I posted mine off the next day and, although the website 'tracing' did not show its true progress, it was back in about a week.
PS. I did pay extra to send my old passport by recorded delivery - it's not that I don't trust them ……..

Well parked up not far from home so been out for a meal with the Mrs.
Parked the lorry at the collection point and have returned to find 3 others have now arrived.

2, and you are bothered/
you should come to our place in Frogland. we get loads, far more than two. We do occasionally catch one and when we do they are such fat bugres! Wish we could train our dogs to sniff em out!

Go the seaside & get them little wind mills.
Put them in the ground & the odd mole hill,the vibrations sends the moles mad.
Oh you do need a bit of wind for the it to work though

Good to know this! With three doggies we never have a shortage of the stuff. Wifey just told me she put the dried stuff down and they just threw it back up to the surface!

Have heard this one too. Can't say we had any luck with them, nor with the batt powered numbers that send low frequency blast through the ground. In Frogland they have some amazing things that fire off a 22 round type thing. Haven't dared get one yet!

Good to know it was quicker than the three weeks although with CV19...
I will also use registered post or whatever, compared to the cost of a new passport tis nowt!

I would just like to say the Classic car MOT exemption is stupid..

Had a Nice Silver Shadow in today from a wedding service, owner was the typical stuck up toff "arse" noted a few things..

I however noticed a good few other other things..

#1 Only one of the headlights were working on low and/or high beam
#2 The NS indicator wasn't working
#3 Massive fuel leak from the Carburettor which was filling the V with neat fuel
#4 Fuel tank was porous
#5 It was running so rich neat fuel was dripping from the tailpipe
#6 Both front wheel bearings were installed incorrectly which has subsequently destroyed the bearing, NS,
#7 NSR caliper was seized and pad worn down to nothing
#8 FR Caliper leaking fluid...
#9 Brake lines front to back excessively corroded.
#10 Front compliance mounts worn to excess.
#11 Exhaust manifold leak, "excessive"
#12 Centre muffler excessively corroded.
#13 rear height control rams leaking
#14 The brake warning lamps had been disconnected, and upon test driving it was evident the one brake circuit wasn't working. - Narrowed down to the rear most pump on the engine being defective and the brake accumulators needed recharging.
#15 Gearbox had a leak from the front pump seal..

I did enjoy presenting him with the £8987 bill for repairs though....

He nearly keeled over..

Just goes to prove just because it is MOT exempt doesn't mean it doesn't need regular maintenance.

And being the braking system runs off pumps on the engine if you bust a pipe it'll just pump all the fluid out and you'll crash!

Anyway...
