Crossed with mine, and i mentioned a note pad too!
Great minds an all that!
(FFS having to tell a grown up to bring a pen and paper!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:)

Leaving just the corner posts as the last item to be resolved when the factory provides them.
It has not been the best experience possible I have to say, and the price is at the top end of the spectrum, so I am not best pleased so far.:(
I think the adage "you only get what you pay for" needs revising to "you only get what you pay for if you are prepared to complain and say it is not good enough for the price I have paid".

So sorry for you, especially when you did so much to prepare for it. Shame they don't employ someone to check the right stuff is there before the van is loaded.
I think I'd be looking for some kind of a discount if poss.

Thinking about it, wouldn't it be less bother if they left it until ALL the bits turned up and they could do it in one hit?
i do appreciate the weather is a factor.

They used to forget it if it’s not wrote down & as you may only do that job once a month if you forgot the next time will be when I’m on holiday. When I left I was asked for my “magic” note pad. Handed over 20 Years of knowledge. Of course it was useless to them as it’s wrote in forklift/warehouse scribble not typed out &
To my own codes way of doing things.

@Hicap phill I was once at interview for a job I knew I wasn't going to get. (Head of Dept in a school near Newcastle, I knew i wouldn't get it cos the Head took me into a room and said "I know I shouldn't ask this question but I'm going to anyway..." The answer embarrassed him so much he had to apologise profusely. "That'll larn him i thought.")
So never going to get it.
His final question was, "What would you do to improve the dept should you get the job?"
The school was a real backwoods number and really behind the times, so I reeled off a list of all the things that needed doing,and some really inovative stuff, cribbed partially off my existing HoD who was dynamite, although a king shized sh!t. I intentionally did it so fast no one could have written them all down. Impressed looks all around the panel, red-faced Head. Ha Ha!
Note pads no good there!!
 
Today, I decided to empty out my freezer of all unwanted bits of dog food - fussy things like to change their diets frequently. I plonked a full 'brick' of frozen raw dog food (chicken, veg vitamins etc.) onto the bird tray which is positioned on the currently unused garden table in the top front garden. Mid afternoon, along came at least a dozen magpies ( on their return from the day's foraging ) and the food started to be broken up. Suddenly .. WHOOSH... in came the Red Kite! He grabbed a pile on his way through and scattered the magpies in all directions! Minutes later all the magpies returned until … WHOOSH ……. and another load disappeared into the Kite's claws. Almost instantly, the magpies returned and cleared up the remainder before the Kite returned.
I've got another load to put out tomorrow. :)

Losing a loved one in the current conditions is certainly not easy. No visits to the hospital, no last good byes etc. and then, because of the local lock down, no ashes.:( But chin up and plough on, I'm not the only one in this position.
