Struggled to get going again today so I did some work inside instead. Need to go out in the cold tomorrow.

Well today didn't go as well as I had planned. Started doing stuff ok. Trolley jack working ok then it decided it won't go up. The little poking thing the lever moves up/down came oft the lever again. Put that back and now it won't pump up. Similar has happened before on several occasions so I've given up with it. I also have a backup baby trolley jack which doesn't have the height so I struggled to get ma hippo oft me axle stand. So I bought a new one. Same as the one which failed. Funnily enough this is the 3rd of 4th one of these now. CTJ3000QL

Bought one of those on Sunday £53.99

I know. Problem is I think it doesn't like the handle being lifted up to max height, or anywhere near it. Hence the failure. I don't work under it with a jack only. Always an axle stand or hippo ramp. But don't want the situation like today when it let be down. I ran out of light so couldn't film something. If I were fixing it then I use torch light when it gets dark.

Yup.. cuda vids are the best on there, I've seen them all.. my favourites are Tommy driving the 2-door through the water until just the roof is showing and it STILL runs.. and Tommy's mate who does the Steven Hawkin impression.. love those guys it reminds me of the stupid stuff I used to do.. brilliant.. ;)

It's a shame the don't upload many video's these days. The disco on the drag race they put in low range was fantastic.

Oh I know what I was going to tell you.. you remember I was poised to trade the FL1 in for a FL2..? Well it seems I have become emotionally attached to my FL1! The more I think about trading it the more I realise there's little point.. it's size is perfect for a daily runabout (I have a D1 for laning etc), it's really comfy, reliable, and for a Landrover very economical. I'm now thinking I'll just do a few odd jobs on it, fit a new set of Scorpions, clean it properly, and keep it..! :)

I have an emotional attachment to ma hippo too. It's going for it's mot soon. I was going to take it on Monday but the jack failed and messed me about. So I lost time.

For a while now the tailgate door won't open. If I disconnect and reconnect the battery it starts working ok. The tailgate window won't work until I do this. I think it's some sort of lockout in the computer denying it from working due to a sensor fault triggering an implausible condition. Hence the lock out. After the battery reset it's fine for some time. Bearing in mind I was thinking about the mot... I was going to investigate the tailgate further but haven't got round to it for some months. I just happened to try the tailgate as I often do to see if it has suddenly started working, and it had. That's just goes to show ma hippo was looking forward to his mot that afternoon. that proves Freelander are clever. They can also sense yer feelings and make yer happy when yer jack feks yer about. ;)
