Once you try a recumbent trike, you will be smitten. No falling off. Stop-start on anywhere. Super comfortable, still get all your exercise.
Mine has Hydraulic brakes so stopping is assured with little hand-pressure involved.
Here is my current trike (made, not bought) it has a triple up front and a CVT gear-hub at the back offering a ridiculously wide gear-inch range.
Love taking it touring in Holland. :D
UPDATE: Sorry just seen that you mean "REAL motor-BIkes" with engines and high speed.

If wimblowdrivers local recycling centre is anything like ours, they now charge you to tip certain sorts of waste. Wheels with tyres cost £20 each and they charge to tip rubble and asbestos, fair enough on the asbestos.

Those wheels are expensive!!! Wow!
We can tip a fair bit of rubble but not every day and we cannot go anywhere near the place with asbestos!
I'd cut the rubber off and take the wheels to the local scrap metal place, for dosh like @kevstar. Then just the rubber would need chucking and that would be done bit by bit.;)

Oh yes especially if they looked like the one I had with all the upgrades & tuning, the insurance
was 700 odd quid a year & was a 7 iirc the highest group. :rolleyes:
My misses went to work one day & when she came back I had demolished the coal bunker
at the back of the house & had bricked up a few course of breeze bock for a small garage for
it, she went mental ooppps haha Its now used as a utility room as all my toys are kept elsewhere.
I spoke to a lad the other day in Helensburgh,some scumbags stole his off road bike.
They removed all the planks from one section of the garden fence then cut round the wood for the locks
in the shed & off they went. :mad:
Rural areas like here are targeted every so often, a lot of the times is when items are advertised then
the scum get to scope the place out when they come to view it.

That insurance is insane!!!
That's the equivalent of my Disco2, wifey's Pluriel and Sorn insurance for two other Landies and a kit car!!!
Might as well have a Ferrari!!
 
And here is my little coffee-table after a few wet-coats of food-safe mineral oil (same as used for wooden worktops & chopping boards/blocks).
I am very pleased with it. I will let the oil soak in for a few days and then do a bit more. It can probably then be buffed a little to a lustre.
A very cheap table. Top was free, legs were £32 the set.

Council policy here is that legally tyres, rubble and soil are not household waste and so they charge for dumping these at the recycle centres. Rubble and soil charge ranges from £4.50 per bucket to £66 for a large trailer. The attendants are sensible with this and will charge the minimum they can get away with, I generally fill a bulk bag with about 0.5 tonne plus, in the back of me landy, and get charged £9. Tyres cost £7.50 each. So if I can give away stuff I would otherwise have to pay to dispose of, and somebody has a use for it, we all win. Even better if I can get some beer money for it. The county council like landies, they specifically list them as permitted to use the recycle centres. Commercial vehicles and sign written vehicles need permits and get charged. I don't need a permit for the landy, but need one for my large trailer, small trailers don't need a permit. Disposing of asbestos at the recycling centres is a nightmare and not worth bothering with, I need to take asbestos cement roof off me garage and when that happens I will do it through a registered commercial contractor.
