Ha ha... you're not THAT popular!I suppose it should be kept on silent really but i don't want to miss those hundreds of personal calls
The hinges should be spaced so there are 2 above centre and one below. The lower one is 10 inches from the bottom and the top 5 inches down. The third is usually 5 inches up from centre. It helps with gravity or some such. Yes use a spacer from the floor to give clearance.Eye plan to put verticle tung n groov boards ont above frayms. Eye have some hinges like below. 6 of em. Won top one bottom on each door. Won int middle up side darn so the door can't be liftid oft the other hooks.
Eye plan ter unda cowt the boards un put on a cowt of gloss paint un fit em ter the frayms. Burreye be wondering how best ter hang the doors. Eye int done this before and they be big doors.
Me initial fort was ter screw some 70x50mm fik wud to the oat side ter attach the hinge to, for each door. A six foot lenf both side. Eye wud them put a thin stip of wud across the door opening and stand me doors on them. Say 10mm tall. Then fit all the holes un bolts in the hope they mount straight and level. Make shore the door is pulled terwatds the wud post each side so there be no slack. Then take away the supporting wud below. What does yer fink? Is there a betterer way of doing this? Should eye only put on the boards the hinges which cover the verticle boards and fit the rest towards the middle where the doors meet, layter on, to make it all lighter or does we fink the frame will drop a bit with the weight so the boards need to be fitted from the beginning?
Good idea... that means a few weeks grace then.Yu'll ev ter wait til ut's dry afore payntin it!
