Lovely Sunny day out there.
Paper's got, cat's fed, cat-tray done.
Coffee's at my side, off to the Hospital at 08:20.

Suggestion for next year - as soon as the strawb starts to turn red, pick it and get it inside to safety. I always let mine ripen on the window sill just for that reason.

Back from Hospital.
Full Ultrasound scan in depth (Aorta checked end to end and the bifurcation branches) All ok, and not in any danger.
Told to avoid any "heavy-lifting" is all.

Rebuilding a defender is a long and expensive process, the saying "the last 20% takes 80% of the time" is very apt.

Would have been cheaper to buy a new sodding one

Eye fink a lot of peeps find that out. Some go for the full restore from the beginning and don't realise how much time it takes. Others just want to do certain bits... and slowly get dragged into a full restore. All part of the fun of ownership.

Yep, I got dragged into a full-ish restore... was originally just going to replace rear cross member. Trying not to replace everything!! All 3 doors are shagged and they can stay that way. Don't have to worry about dents or people stealing them
Main parts have been replaced, chassis and bulkhead.
