Morning all. Lovely clear day here with a gusty wind keeping the clouds at bay.
Two tip trips scheduled for this morning, one to get rid of the old decking wood and then another one for burnable household waste and compostable materials.
While I'm in town I might do a spot of shopping as me freezer is looking a bit empty.

Well, apart from making a door/doors the shed is now structurally complete.
The last pieces of plywood lining went on this afternoon and then 30 seconds after we ventured outside to cut and fit the 3 final pieces of the siding on (to fit up under the rafters and into the underside of the roof) the heavens opened in a thunderstorm and torrential rain and we got soaked through (we declined to retreat into the dry of the shed with so little left to do and the weather forecast was saying rain would continue till 10PM).

So the shed is built, now I will fit it out with shelving etc.

Morning All :D
Not much sun here yet, but it isn't raining any more. :)
Did not sleep too well (too many aches I think ;)) and I woke at about 7 and just lay there till the discomfort forced me out of bed.
The morning clean-up's all done and I think I will take it a bit easy today apart from sweeping the new shed out and putting any usable timber that was left out inside the shed in the dry.
All the off-cuts of softwood will be turned into kindling for my wood-burner. :)
The overall "wastage" on the project has been <10% so that's good.
Because my workmate (Thomas) had worked above & beyond the call each day ....I tipped him and extra £100, which I thought was only fair; the guys a work-demon.

Hi Jason,
The shed is 140' from the house's power, so the lighting will be 12v LED strips run off my recently retired P38 battery (100AH).
If I can find a suitably priced Solar Panel & charge controller that will be my lighting solution for the shed.
Do you have any recommendations in this area?
I have 4 mini 72 (2 x 36) LED strips (as used in cars & motor-homes) so the load will not be great.

I've got one of these for my shed, although the lights are so bright I've only ever fitted one of the four. No so good though if you fancy running mains devices of it as it's not really an inverter.

This kit might suit however as you've already got a battery. Not a huge output, but if you're only going to be running 12v LED strips of it, it should suffice.
