I am New on Hear Pls Help P38 BeCM Problems

I have just brought a Range Rover P38 ( T Reg 1999 ) manual with the BMW 2.5 DT

My problem is the keyfob when you press unlock/lock the keyfob light comes on & it will lock but then it would only unlock the drivers door.

All the doors unlock fine when I use the key.

Last time I washed it the immobiliser came on & battery just died I ended up jump staring it & it’s been fine since.

I put it into a Independent Landover garage ( Big Mistake )

He 1st said it was the driver’s door latch so that got changed, now he says I need a new BeCM ( nearly had a heart attack with the price )

I ask him can’t you Re-code a 2nd hand BeCM & yeah you guess it (He said NO )

Can you advise, & what would be the estimated cost, for either a repair or replacement.

I am near Manchester.

There is a guy called Rick who can reset your BECM for you but the cost is £260, better than buying a new one
I could not afford the £260 so I looked on ebay and bought the Becm + Ecu + door lock + ignition barrel keys and speedo head ( all from the same car is a must )
Fitted it all which was easy and all is fine.
