It will.be because of old school mapping which is basically set injectors to max and away you go.
I would suggest speaking to Empire Tuning and having it redone from scratch.

As you may remember (bit of a stretch) I had Mike at dynachip map my td5 (early 1999 10p, but fitted with a 2002 ecu), around 9 years ago.
I've driven the landy plenty, towing, offloading, it's been my daily drive. However, I may be getting sensitive in my older age, but the plumes of black smoke, unburnt diesel, aren't sitting happily with me, and I didn't realise that Mike basically set the injectors to be 'open'
, I guess dumping more fuel in.
Do you still recommend Empire? I've read up on their site, and the joint project with your 110 (impressive stuff). If I get them to send me a 10p ecu, will I have to match it to my injectors? On the site it says I won't have to and just fit it and drive, but I thought they had to be matched specifically?
