How fast is your 19j td

Thought I would ask because mine does a whopping 75 mph ......... I only found that when I was on m6 and a lorry was approaching me from behind quickly:jaw: so dropd a gear n foot down in to 5th and got her to 75 :crazy_driver: and yea the lorry did get past me shortly after 30seconds couldn't stay at that speed for long i was going deaf

My 2.5 NA will cruise at 75 mph all day with a top speed of just over 80, although she does slow down a bit on hills!

... And I can still listen to the wireless without the volume turned up at full!

Dunno how fast my 110 will go.
Never taken it on a motorway. Will sit happily at about 50-55 on the A roads though.

My 2.25 diesel happy cruise 45/48 mph. Maxes out at around 55 mph unless on a bit of downhill, deafening at that speed.
110 V8 will see 80 on the clock but doubt it is doing it. Nice cruise 55/60 mph in with the trucks on motorway, any quicker and I am watching the fuel gauge drop !

I have. 2.5 na 90 as we'll haven't tryd giving that any yet but don't think it will do 75

Was it an HGV? If so I thought they were governed to 56mph

Was doing 50 mph at the time he was coming from behind lol I thought trucks were faster than 56mph

Depends - not sure if smaller ones (7.5 tons) are "allowed" to go faster (we all know that there are some truck drivers out there who don't give a crap about tachographs. Yes, the law might catch up eventually, but until it does..... stuff happens).

That is about right, quoted speed is 76, I think, mine will do about 80 on the speedo, but they arent known to be accurate.
Soundproofing helps

I think mine kisses 80 but its not comfortable. Far better to sit behind a lorry at 65

I dont have it anymore but mine was comfortable at 65 on the motorway... Ive swapped to a 300tdi now which is better but the 19j wasn't as bad as they are made out to be!
