Me again :)

You were all right, it's Dead. I managed to get most of my ££ back though (thank God). So back on the car hunt.

Am possibly going to see a 1997 Disco Tdi over the weekend, am I insane?

Yes, keep a rangey. When it breaks, there's nowhere more comfortable

By the way Gents, I believe Wibble is a line used by Blackadder. One of the funniest TV moments ever.

Also, whereabouts are ya? Someone close might be willing to go with ya so you dont get another lemon.

I'd say you could take wrxfifer out, but he has his own problems, lol.

You set on a Disco? Means you went get past the velvet rope and back onto this red carpet :p

phone trading standards you have 90 days automatic cover by law if he wont sort it out,my friend works for them and told me about this

tony

So does this apply to any car (or range rover) bought from a garage?

As I got mine from one but without paying for a specific warranty ( as it was a £650 classic, which was supposed to
be good but turned out to need alot of welding and the engine is not the healthiest)

Do you think I have a case even though I have done 75% of the work now?

I need something massive so I can tow. My heart is breaking at the thought of a Trooper or a Shogun.

As you have done work on it I would say you don't have a cat in hells chance:(:(:(

At the end of the day, you need something to do a job. Whether it be a disco or paj or zoo, it's you're choice. I'd go with a 300tdi. Bit more torque than the 200tdi, so it'll tow better.

Yup. Boot floor goes, sills go, bulkhead goes. Basically, check the whole car for rust. Specially check the chassis. You'll get better advice if you go to the discovery forum.

Just looked at it. 300tdi has 195lbs/foot, 200tdi has about 160lbs/foot and a 4.6 RR has 280lbs/foot. Might be better off with a rangie ;)
