hello, i've been looking around the web for all things discovery and keep seeing these hiclone doo da's, i asked at a landrover specialist and they said waste of time, but another place which sells them say they have them fitted to their vehicles (surprise surprise) anyone got an unbiased opinion. cheers

ta slob, i've just been and asked fred, he's quite a knowledgable bloke, does seem like there's believers and non-believers, but i dont think i'll bother for now though, next time i'll ask fred first! :)

hi G, yeah they're about 80 quid for a 300tdi (1995) and from the other freds i've looked at it seems a little less turbo lag is about the best you can expect, and some of the more techie responses werent very positive at all. anyway, i've got more pressing things at the moment such as corroded balls :( and new disks and pads for the front, famous four tell me i need new rear calipers and i'm thinking about polybushes and better suspension, but that's just a maybe. wish i'd had more time to learn before i bought but thems the brakes!:D to be fair though, it's not a bad truck wi just over 132000 on the clock, i just dont know much about em and finding out is a bit scary. :D

yer, tell me about it. ive only had my 90 since june. steep learning curve. from the sounds of it, you have more pressing things than a Hiclone :) i think these are more aimed at people who have too much money and everything for their landy... or people who race and need performance things. i dunno.

G

too true, i was gonna do some of the work myself to save dosh but mainly i cant be arsed anymore, i'd rather just have someone with a good rep do the work and know it's done properly, especially when it gets tricky and from what i can gather it can all get a bit tricky when you start opening things up. and it looks better on the service history should i want to get something a bit newer, or older, later on. i've seen a loverly rebuilt 90 200tdi but it's a bit rich for me at the moment .
