Hi all - my name is Giles. I am based in the green heart of Italy. I've been shamelessly lurking on this forum for a few weeks, learning a lot in my efforts to make a good buying decision. Bankz' Defender thread has been very motivating reading, tho' I now the dangers of thinking 'Hey! I could do that!'.
I'd like to buy a Defender 90 but I am not yet sure what constitutes a good bargain. For example, a local guy has posted a 1989 Defender 90 200 155km with a fairly long list of things he has restored for £6200. It is repainted inside and out to its original orange with blue trim. Is £6k worth it or should I avoid a potential lemon?
