Ello Rugger Boy. Am sure a lot o peeps on here wud like to know where to get a doozul deepender or Series, which dint need too much work doin on it fer £500...;)

when i say not too much work i mean not a complete rebuild. lol just replacing easy things like shock absorbers etc oh and i don't mind bits of rust and if the interiors a piece of s**t. lol

£500 will get you a hospital job, total rebuild non runner - double it and you'll get a series or Na or TD which will be good for a coupla years. All defenders have sh1t interiors and a bit of rust (all defenders below £10K) You really need 2K for something with a reasonable chassis and bulkhead, then think about changing all those other bits you mentioned!

Nonsense I have just paid the deposit on a 86 90td with a good chassis, bulkhead has been welded but it's a good neat job, it comes with brand new reardoor with heated glass, new rearcrossmember as the one that's on is scabby but not a mot failure. new exmoor trim seat covers and bases, spare set of 8 spoke wheels with legal tires on Halogen headlamp conversion etc etc. it needs probably a couple of days to get it all sorted. and I paid the grand sum of £600.

They are out there you just need to keep looking and if you don't know what to look for take someone who does. Be prepared to walk away from anything that looks a bit iffy and bide your time. You will find one eventually
