Did my rear brakes this morning and fitted the Pro-Comp Shocks, wow what a difference, worth every penny.

Called in to jai this afternoon, tested my winch out with the ground anchor and dealt with the last bit of digging and tree roots in his front garden. Awesome bit of kit, even I couldn't break that anchor, it built of girders.

that winch anchor was made by the soviets to withstand the end of the Earth! Beastie bit of kit!

Getting there slowly! Will be out and about once again in a few weeks!

Not exactly pedestrian friendly if I mount it on the front, maybe have a bracket on the front for P&P days and keep it in the back at other times.

Bargain at £75 for the anchor.

Cannot comit to anything I need to get stuff finished at home plus I need tro get my ass into gear to sell some more bits and bobs.

Turned the shock absorbers the right way up tonight....Doh!
Managed it without taking the wheels off, so pretty quick to do.

I'm after a Detroit Locker now on Fleabay. Note to self, stop spending money.

Just a couple of pics from the other day

I can't Do Sunday anymore :-( . I~'m delivering transfer boxes for some $$ to pay for Ashcroft shafts. The new guy Jimmy has a std car aswell (not met the guy yet) but he needs tyres and some other bits before he gets his disco dirty.

Inside the shock dual chamber shock (modern shocks) the inner chamber should be completly filled with oil and the outter chamber should contain an oil reserve and any pressurised gas. Mount them inverted rod down then its possible for the gas can get into the inner chamber and effect damping.

Plus rod end down you might clobber the chrome rod and this could damage the seals.

OK, I'll go laning instead then.

How long to fit the locker do you think?

You gotta win it first!

20-30 mins to remove and refit a few hours or so to let the silicone cure if you have a pair of 9/16 spanners, your fan dangled propshaft tool, some RTV silicone and new oil handy!

But get some spare shafts you will break them!!!

With your locker fitted it takes alot of strain off the front wheels as you (or I at least) tended to drive far less aggressive to make sure you succeed climbs etc. Will make your Propshaft hill Fail at roundhill a **** of **** next time.
