Lol not really I do have lots of s/h parts kicking about and if its just Kens Difflinkage and I have a couple kicking around he is welcome to have the bits. I'm technically a workshop and warehouse supervisor for a photocopier company we build up machines and refurbish them.

I will be soon making and selling a weekend greenlane kit but thats in the pipeline,

Also I do have plenty of s/h parts to trade/swap/beer money but thats only to pay/swop for more landy bits.

There is so many people selling blatent crap out there and its easy to get dodgy s/h parts from so I would like to think I can provide good s/h parts to other enthusiasts

Nice one, so you just built up the bits over the years of playing with Landys. I used to fix laser printers, many many years ago.
So whats in a green lane kit? (I am a newbie)

I'm working on a website but its on a go slow at the minute too much to get done so not taking enough pics nor getting time to write up on it all but getting there. It is true some people should never be allowed to work on their own vehicles and sometimes there are glaring examples on the internet of dodgy maintainance, work practice and ignorance when it comes to working on vehicles. Some people event blag their way to working for others which is most awful. There is alot of Bollix advice on th enet aswell. Would like to think I have been taught well enough to sypher through and get along but I am not a mechanic and will never pretend to be until I get a qualification as one.

Well Trying to put together a basic kit. You will never get everything you need. Much like a tool kit nobody has a complete tool kit there is always a special tool you need to make for somthing.

Jate ring, rated rope, short bridle, 3 rated shackels, gloves that kind of thing still awaiting prices and stuff but want to get decent kit all in a box for around £65-£100 depending on whats inside rope length etc. Will be getting prices soon but this is very much a new thing but all kit will be good quality stuff tried and tested.

I haven't worked on motors for years, used to fix up my cortina and MKII escort.... shows how long ago.

Got my landy just before christmas and found the diff lock wasn't working, looked on this site and found some advice and managed to sort it.....the advice was from you!!!

Also decided to fit an aerial yesterday and ended up having to take half the dash out!!

Good idea on the kit, I spent a few quid already... jate rings rope couple of shackles and 2 jacks (1st one got bent)

Most people have stuff so its not really for any of them more for newbies with nothing. As for s/h parts I do get a few bits n bobs quite regularly I forget how many transfer boxes I have but it must be in double figures

Still at a loss as to how you guys managed to bend a hi-lift Mines a mid ranged one and has taken soo much abuse over the years.

Guys website not finished getting there but no way finished Like I say its not about selling stuff at all more like supporting genuine enthusiasts showing them that they have many ways to enjoy their vehicle no matter what LR it is. Greenlaning, Trials comps etc

There will be a few s/h bits n bobs for sale on the for sales pages bits that are good fully described that we don't need at realistic prices.

I was given some strops the other day they have 5000kg printed on them on a lable, would they be suitable for recovery strops.

and I might even be able to get to the next Pub meet yippee

Erm Strops its well documented (My Rants) about strops they can be used to good effect but used wrong can destroy recovery points, shackels, and seriously hurt people in both the towing and towed vehicle. Keep them they will come in useful for towing but you must take up all the slack and drive off gently not doing this can put soo much strain on the recovery points and peoples backs. Strops for winching Ropes for recovery Semi kinetic strops are different all together.

You can gurantee that at a P&P site somone inexperienced will be there snatching or driving off from a very slack strop to tow a mate out a rated rope is by far the way to go IMO. For winching the a strop is Exactly what you need.

In short not really, I was looking and they seem to be stupidly huge but cheap or small enough to carry but I thought quite expensive.
