And the fact it's started raining again now is only going to add to it!! We have decided to still head that way, and have a look at whats occurring... If it's too deep we won't do it.. We'll just stick to the other lanes in the area instead!
There are 2 lanes in that area to be careful of, one which is very tight, trees one side and a big drop into a stream on the other with one point where you have to drive over a tree because it's trunk is too low to get under.

The other seems really tame until one corner, which looks fine, but as you drive around it you slide sideways into a ditch.

Cheers for that mate! I'll do some more research on trailwise in the morning.. See if I can avoid those...

With all of the recent rain there's no way I'd take a V8 or any motor without a snorkel through Standon or Violets Lane atm. The risk is way too high, chances of killing your engine is very real.

Once you're in them you're pretty much commited to carrying on through. I'm happy to organise a trip to the fords in the next few weeks, if they look a bit dodgy I'll drive them to check them out first.

So with a Snorkel and breathers they should be fine??... we'll see what its like in the morning... where is Standon in relation to Violets? Grid Refs?

Will let you all know how we get on!

Actually to be fair Spydie... YOU slid into the ditch... I slid into the ditch... but a certain 109 that had never been laning before cruised straight through and laughed at both of us!

Well we are halfway thru the day and we have done a good few lanes north of Fernaux Pelham, favourite one so far is birch lane Near littlebury green... I know it's classed as Essex but hey! Some great side slopes, and very narrow! We got a video of it so I'll attach it here later!

Well... Where to start!

Had a great morning and early afternoon... However, we appear to have found one of the lanes we wanted to avoid! After 3 hours of trying to winch out the car is still stuck, just up from where the pictures were taken in a previous post of that massive tree! Luckily, some trees on the left stopped us sliding into the ditch and stream!

We have left the car there and are going back tomorrow to find a friendly farmer with a tractor to let us use his field..... If anyones about tomorrow and fancies coming along and keeping us company feel free!!

Main thing is we are all ok and the car didn't end up in the stream!!

Oh, and it looks like we may be in the runnings for the "Ryder Cup" this year!!
