aldbury tring and the surrounding ones will only be a couple of hours at most i would have thought.

Chelmsford down there used to be good or up Cambs way but i don't know whats open now days due to the seasonal TRO's etc

not kept on top of it for a couple of years tbh it does need more investigation.
Mabe not Sunday what about a few of us seet out a greenlane/sea side or somwhere to end up possibly chaplegate derbyshire cough cough)

To start the day at the seaside and end up in Chaplegate is about as far as you can get from the sea anywhere in the British Isles.:D
You've been letting Ryder read the map again.:D:D:D

Well i am still up for it but am not sure about the lanes so if some one knows what lanes are open all good.

Aldbury/Tring... then Asheridge, chesham

or hitchin/Baldock and up the A1:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
No point going towards Tring, there's bugger all there to keep us occupied. Better east side of A1.

sounds ok do you know if you can drive the lanes over there like the roman road and chainwalk looks like there is a lot there if we can get on them....:blabla:
The Roman Road had been closed to vehicles for years, but there's still plenty to do, plus the Fords of course, depending on how much rain falls and snorkels, V8's, etc.

Most of the Cambs lanes are TRO'd till March 31st i believe. I will put myself down as a maybe for sunday. I will be out if i get the service done on Saturday.

OK can we get an idea of numbers. Need to think about what groups to have

So far

Ryder
Spyderman
Krysmayo

Also got a few from the other forum

Krs, I have sent a route across to Spyderman. I want him to take a look because he has driven more of these routes than I have. Don't want to post the route on open forum but suffice to say it includes a load of lanes - a couple of fords - an with luck a pub break in the middle.

Nothing too taxing I hope, but some of these routes are new to me.

Will set the meeting place once a route has been set. This is just a suggested route though. I am still a **** map reader and I really do not fancy leading...

If there is a good navigator who wants to ride shotgun that would be excellent!
