haha since the peaks and seeing kevs classic which kinda sealed it - they are exceptionally good looking vehicles!!! and the sound :D:D

talkin of fast landys there was a 90 with a rover 220 turbo lump in it, mapped ecu and cammed, running about 300bhp allegedley. was in lro couple of years ago. u cud always do something like that if that floats ur boat.
mate of mine has caterham 1.6 k series. pretty quick and still tops 55mpg. not practical tho.

thought some of u might like to know.

my new discovery is now off road ready, so im a bit more prepared to come laning this time.

chearrs

cool, so will be seeing you about

and yea but i dont really have the cash to modify a 90 to that extent, and modify my 88 into the proto jungle limo and straighten out my 110!! haha

3.5 EFI.... love the sound... love the drive... hate the fuel bill like everyone else who drives one. IMO It's worth limiting the miles of you can to drive a motor that inspires you every time you start the engine.

Let's face it... oil is going to run out. Let's enjoy it while the going's good!

I hope yu have better luck than I did. I asked Kris months ago for some prices & help - I got bored waiting.:(

Sorry about that MHM, like i said i would have to fit it in when i had time as there would be traveling to get over to your place as well and i just haven't had time. Still trying to catch up on work that needs doing to my own vehicles.

Just as well, with things being the way they are at the moment. I could be as old as MHM before i get any spare time, girlfriends forgotten what i look like.

Great.... using the vice to fit UJs thi evening and destroyed the vice. It wasn't a particularly big one (or so the wife tells me!) and the use of a extra bar for leverage meant that the screw thread literally stripped for about the first 2 inches. Knackered now, going to have to try doing it the old way with a hammer and drift.

Anyone got a big vice for sale?

Jesus Ryder what you doin'
Uj's even ur knackard one didn't need much more than hand power on the vice.
ex LR mechanic sitting next to me says you only ever need a hammer to remove UJ's period.

Best make that a copper mallet!

Carefull when you use a hammer to re assemble it. I have not known a successfull re assembly just using hammers.

Every time you hit a cup you dislodge the needle rollers. They then turn and sit against the end of the spider and you can never close the cups far enough to get the retaining clips in properly.

Use a vice/press. HAND PRESSURE ONLY!!!

If it doesnt go together then there is something wrong. Fix it, before hitting or using bars...

Ryder loves using hammers didn't you and kai wreck a wheel bearing last month? Oh and grinders did you get another stub axle in the end Ryder?

You could use a big G clamp. You're welcome to swing by and use my press or the vice (if I can clear a space:eek:)
