A question for all those who went this eveining... Should you have driven it or shoudl you really have said.... naah well leave it alone? I know this might now be a popular question, but it is sitting on my mind a little.

We did give up on it and turn around. Farmer Giles has made a bit of a mess of it with his tractor again.
My Handbrake is from X-Engineering, about £180 for a Series, but more like £240 for a Defender/Disco. Works brilliant, worth every penny.

Honestly Ryder, the lane was really quite firm on top as we walked across it and I would have had no qualms attempting it, however as you may have figured from the posts I didn't have the clearance the others had and figured I'd leave it. Once everyone had reversed back and turned around, we did indeed decide to leave it.

In that case I adjust my previous comment to read... "Well played on such a timely and politically correct decision chaps!"
What he meant to say was it was only 36 hours till he had to go laning again and if he would have gone any further it might have taken that long to get him unstuck and he didn't want to challenge your 29 hour record.:p:D

I was just watching a dvd of an interview with a couple of Camel Trophy competitors. (Giot it free with some magazine or other). It took them eight days to get eachother through a track that should have taken 2. Now THAT's what I call stuck.

Now, how to beat THAT record...

I'm Up for doing some local ones this Sunday, aslong as it's nothing too harsh as I don't really want to batter my Standard Disco!
