This Am I towed a couple of 7.5 tonners up to the roundabout in Dunstable the next round about down from the downs. Pushed and moved about 6 cars and told the Bus driver I couldn't tow him as he had nowhere to anchor to but he made it with some pushing and a run up. Oh and a transit van at the crossroads in Dunstable. That was My morning. on my way to work.

There was a man snowboarding down a hill just down from ashridge college and a weird man in Tring high street wearingt ski's and a ski mask. Yes even more weird than the normal Tring high street enhabitance. Jai

I've been out all day rescuing stuck vehicles. The tally so far is:
7 BMW, mainly 3 Series
2 Mercs, C & E
1 Smart 4four
1 Astra
3 Golfs
1 Zafira
2 Sprinter Vans
1 Movano
1 Transit
1 VW Transporter - which managed to hold up Airport Way, nr Luton Airport, which caused total gridlock for 3 hours, had to drive through the roadworks off road to get to him, on Police direction.
1 Passat, the git didn't even say thank you, plus he wanted me to put the towing eye back in the boot for him so he wouldn't get snowy. Told him to go forth.

Total 1 bottle of Whisky and £45 in tips.

and best of all, towed a 38 tonne articulated lorry up the A6. It was empty though, so only weighed 15 tonnes. Everybody said I'd never pull it. Glad I put the snow tyres on the Landy. It did feel a bit heavy on the back though.

Update, met Jai on the way home, then say some blue flashing lights, went for a look, Girl in a Corsa stuck on a hill. Hooked her up, said don't bother trying to drive I'd just tow it as i then have control. Told her to make sure handbrake is off. Started towing, thought to myself it was really heavy on the back. Turns out she's still got it in gear with the engine off. Still dragged it though.:D

Yes it was just a few blue flashers. Just leaving stace's house and notice a few certain vehicles going down a certain road (no hope of returning) so followed them down the road which is an icy dead end hill so only way out was up, called jai to get there to help as i knew i would struggle on my own and ended up towing two fire engines with fully loaded water tanks and an ambulance. so sorry kev and brett allthough it took two of us we beat your record as the fire engines were 20tonnes each.

Was really good and satisfying to help someone like them pictures and vids will be along soon just trying to get them off the people standing and watching. The fire brigade took both our details and said they will ring if we needed again and would be in contact about already helping them out (unsure whats gonna happen)

Cheers jai thanks for coming to help as quick as you did i was struggling on my own but i did manage to get one fire truck half way up.

Other then them i lost count of all the other people i helped out.

Kev was a good run out with you good few lanes and some great pictures hope to go again soon.

Cheers all speak to you soon

Was in your manor with work today.Any of you lot got a f reg well lifted classic or a full roll caged l reg disco?Around hemel n st albans way

Hey maybe there is a publicity opportunity here! I bet the papers would be interested in how the local 4 x 4 brigade helped out the emergency services in their time of need! Would give the 4 x 4 community some needed brownie points too!

sounds like you all had fun 2day, found a fully loaded arctic weighing 108 ton as he sed n e way, me and a tractor couldnt set him free as his cab was in a ditch, pulling him just made him slide even further so gave him a lift 2 a hotel, i also went past sum1 stuck in a car with an anti 4x4 sticker in the bak window, all they got was a covering of dirty snow i sprayed up on the way past

Yep... as you probably know my disco is still awaiting repair so no fun for us either. Been waiting for some snow for so long and when it hits I can't even go out in it. Even if i fixed the disco I couldn't get it past the shogun which is parked in the way minus one wheel assy waiting for some spares to be delivered that can not get here cos of the snow! Doh:

Could be a missed opportunity to change their mind though!
