Hi to all of you, thought I would say hi, and ask if I can come along and have a go at some local lanes when you next go out.

Ive got a Defender 90 on BFG AT's, recovery points and a rope or two, and live in Puckeridge near Ware, Herts.

Thanks in advance Andy

Andy... welcome to our little group! You would be welcome to join in on any of our days out just keep an eye open on this thread... someone is out most weekends and some evenings. Glenn321 is over your way and has a habit of keeping the strangest hours so it might be worth PMing him and saying Hi.

Failing that... PM me your phone number and we'll call you next time we are doing the herts lanes... I think Spydie is talking about doing a few next weekend and we are probably going to join in for that too.

We have a pub meet once a month (usually on the first wed of the month but this one has been pushed to thurs). If you would like to show up and say hi, PM me and I will let you know where to be... its not a million mile from where you live.

Cheers and welcome

Ryder

No, I've got an MOT to get next week and the testers don't like it if it's caked in mud. Might do some gentle stuff and a few fords, but I might go to the Ski show in B'ham instead. Not sure yet.

Where are you going for your mot mate? Jai reckons his place over towards tring is good and fair!

BTW its important that you realise we're not a club... no committee, no subscriptions... no politics.... just a few blokes (wives, kids, babies), in the same area who enjoy getting out on the lanes and a little pay n play. We only meet up in order to rip the **** out of each other and as an excuse for the fine ale that is provided at the venue.

And in case anyone is interested

I didn't get stuck this month.

Welcome Landy Andy,

Yea we do **** take alot! A few of us are going up to Milton Keynes pay and play site tomorrow for some driving lessons for my neices its a fair trek for you but just letting you know whats on Jai

Thanks for that Jai, can't do today. I did not know that was a P&P site in MK, is it any good?

Went Devils pit before, saw two cars roll, 4 cars driven in to at the car park, by a below age daughter "having a go"! No marshalls and not many route flags, so have not been to a P&P site since

Andy, I am going to Whaddon for the first time today so will let you know what it is like. (Not that I have anything to compare it with :p)

You've had that experience too. Devils Pit is great if you want to destroy your motor. I went there once, doubt I'd go back, too many lunatics driving a roll cage with an engine if you know what I mean.

I'd agree with Kev, Devils Pit is only 2 miles from me, great site for trailered motors, but not for ones you want to drive away. My motor will handle the stuff, but the damage is unreal. Whaddon is much better, just good old mud and water.

the devilpit is a great site there are marshalls, been going for years i agree there are dickheads who think they own it cos of the rollcaged cut up 4x4 thingy they use, the problem is it is a car breaker like been side trailered motors that you dont wanna drive home are good or purpose built motors. the worse thing is the clay if you dont get it all off it just bakes onto your 4x4. i like it there cos there is a good mixture off challenges ie hillclimbs, wood routes
