Not usually if you have original axles I . E drums on the rear the front hub protrudes out and will not fit.

Some people wind them on and say they fit you can see what they have done by the wheel wobble as the wheel almost never sits flat on the hub was a 90 around here with exactly that a year ago. U might be lucky but if the wheel it tight to sit flush then later axles or spacers required front only

I had a closer look at them earlier and couldn't believe the size of the stud holes in the disco wheels. They are so much bigger my def wheel nuts almost fall through the holes. I figured that couldn't be right and aborted

You need alloy wheel nuts not steel nuts they will then go on but I don't think they will sit back far enough to sit flush on the hub without the hub drive member bolts fouling the inside of the wheel but you may be lucky

I can check the wheel tomorrow. Just stolen my mum's turkey thermometer to test the coolant as well. The when we had her running today the gauge was permemantly in the red. :s
 
If so contact Steve Parker you will need a specific temperature sensor. The colour will depend on the gauge or year of defender you have and the thread will depend on the engine
 
Ah contact Steve Parker or search online the sender is not matched to the gauge. 200tdis had different thread course and fine. The 300 tdi will be all the same but you will need the correct range or resistance to get the correct reading on your older gauge. The other answer is buy a genuine 300 tdi gauge
 
Disco gauge completely different.

The difference between a good conversion and an abortion are all these extra little bits. it may be £60 for a new gauge but it will show the correct temp and this stop you knackering your newly fitted engine and all the work you have put in.

Look on ebay they come up cheap sometimes
 
Make it neat and use as many std parts as poss otherwise it'll bite you in the ass when something breaks or wears it's not a 20 min fix it's making something fit. Especially when at the side of the road or lane on a Sunday evening.
 
Wise words, no doubt I'll pay the price at some stage. I do plan a complete nut and bolt referb in a couple years once I've finished my degree. Hopefully I'll have more money and time to do a proper job. Until then it's gaffa tape
 
Ah I can't wait to go laning again. But it's just sorting the tyres and mot time next week, then I think I might live in the lr for a week. Already found the most comfortable sleeping position today. :)
