evening forum folk, ive recently bought a set of terrafirmas extended wheel arches... but im not liking the look, do any of you lot have these or use differing extended arches fitted? any photos, im being mindfull of vosa wombles as these tyres stick out 2"..... what ideas and spats do you use? and what encounters have you had with the fuzz or vosa over this issue and what bother im liable to land myself in:doh:.

cheers dave.

Mate had his car impounded for having wide wheels and normal wheel arch spats. Plod reckoned a child could be pulled into the wheel arch. Mind they were huuge bloody things

should have bought narrower ones that dont need arches.

They need to be covered or you will get a slap fro VOSA. Not sure if the MOT will pass it either.

QT make the best ones, but it would be cheaper to buy narrow tyres ;)

theyre 33 x 12.50's on compomotive alloys which step them out a tad too far ill find a picture....

would be cheaper to purchase some different wheels then bud ;-) check out your offset options. unless your attatched to your wide stance. i personally found that some very deep tight sections near me were out of bounds when i made mine as wide as poss. 265 on deep modulars, inside the arches and no trouble with fouling, and i can go anywhere now ;-)

if all else fails, carry a bend straight edge in your kit. then if u get pulled you can plead ignorance as you show them that your straight edge says they are under the arches ;-) then poke yourself in the eye just before they test your eyes!

ive only just bought them!! lol... not an option at the price of alloys to match!!! any ideas on wider ones, these terrafirma ones dont seem to marry up with the edges and dont cover all of the body work.

aahhh now its getting clearer. now do you have a steady hand? because this may involve a grinder and a few confidence building beers!

im on the lancashire border to merseyside =[ i drive alot to college being 52 miles away in cheshire... and my other wheels have now been sold so im abit fooked!
