Hi everyone, I've scanned the archives and found out a lot of info - great forum! I'm in the market for a Rangie. Looking to purchase a P38 with LPG conversion quite soon. I have a budget of around 8K and would ideally like a 2000 example. I want to find the right one (obviously) and don't mind waiting a while to find it. There's a few I've got my eye on at the mo and although it's tempting to dive right in, I feel it's best to see how the whole market is going at present. A few questions I would like to ask you guys and girls first:- With LPG, is there anything I should avoid? i.e. single point injections, certain manufactures - spare wheel installations, should it have Flashlube cylinders etc. ? I would ideally like a full spec example, any recommendations? I understand that anything I buy may require some work and am prepared for that but would like to get the best available for my budget. Any tips or hints would be most graciously appreciated. I look forward to contributing to this forum. Kind regards, Noah.

Hi all. I've got myself a P38 1995 SE, with a nearly new engine - 4.6 with 30k under its belt. The car has 150k on the clock but has scrubbed up well :) I have a few questions that I will post in the appropriate thread. Cheers.

Ooops, seems like I'm in the appropriate thread already :)

I have the usual SRS light flashing / airbag fault display but have no faults coming up, so have got a new SRS ECU to see if that stops the light flashing. The HEVAC is displaying the book icon, none of the 3 motors are working so I'm hoping that a new Control unit will sort that out. The EAS seems to be ok other than after a few hours the offside front is dropping. Easy enough to sort, I hope! It has a LPG conversion that, when stationary & idling, only revs at around 300 rpm. Fine on petrol though. I intend to find a service garage that'll sort this. (Anyone know of any around the Ascot area?) I've been looking at he wood trim kits on ebay, anyone have any experience of these? Any good or not? Any hints or tips would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I reckon you'd be better off finding one that didn't have any probems to start with. Problems evident when selling might mean the selling owner has given up. Why start from behind the mark??
