Pikeys cant spell so you can rule that theory out.

Totally understand what your saying. Maybe asking about the for sale section on my first post was not the brightest idea ive had.

Saved me a fortune on repairing a D3 remote locking problem so I do appriciate the knowledge offered FOC.

I will hold my hands in the air, I will not have much to contribute. I'm a trader but do have a fair few LR's pass through my hands, mainly L322's and D3's so obviously I know what a pain in the arse they are.


I would have been knackered without the info gained from not only this forum but others. I'm more than happy to share my findings with you for it to help somebody else. It was a tricky job and there still seems to be some confusion in the sequence so adding my bit may help.

I will do that, thanks for the help.

I would have been facing a £500+ bill to sort the locking out on a Discovery 3 I have just sold. Obviousley I wanted to use the forums for sale section or I wouldnt have asked but happily my next step was to post in the common faults and explain my findings on the fault and repairing it.
