P38A heater o rings

1998 rangerover diesel automatic rhdrive
hi all,
trying to change the heater o rings on the heater inside the cabin.
left he dash in and been working around everything so to speak. I'm now at the point of trying to undo the "pipe clip" which holds the steel pipes to the heater.
Is it just the one Phillips screw which holds the clip in place or is it two?
secondly even with a long big Phillips screwdriver its just slipping and the lovely screw is just sat there smiling at me,anyone any tips please?

Just the one and make sure you use the correct size bit and it is on square. Engage properly apply inward and rotational pressure and give the screwdriver handle a tap on it's end.
 
Struggling a bit.Think the screw is jammed tight in there.Now I can see more,theres significant red trash around the pipes,I think its evaporated anti freeze,hence the screw being seized in there. Ive now undone the matrix retaining screws and can pull the matrix out a bit so can see more. Ive managed to use a long thin chisel and cut a groove in it . Even with the chisel at cross hitting the screw wont budge. Looks like its heater out time.

Can you squirt any Plusgas in there? Marvellous stuff that.
 
managed too cut a groove across it but still no go
loads of plus gas an still a no go
anyone have any ideas?
can you buy the aluminium pipes and the aluminium retaining pipe clip?
 
Had to change pipes and clip when I did mine got a used set of fleebay or try the specialist breakers emmotts of colne
I put a stainless allen bolt in with copper slip so hopefully if I mean when I have to do it again it will come out.
 
Update
spent ages with a dremmel type tool with what I can only describe as a dentist drill attachment. Managed to widen the groove then using a long screwdriver collapse each half in then hey presto the clip began opening up.
Carefully pulled it back then removed both pipes from the bulkhead,once out I cleaned up both pipe ends. The original o rings were so brittle they just broke apart.
I tried with a mole grips to remove the screw but no luck. I ended up heating the clip with an electrical paint stripping tool and managed to get the screw out.
Didn't have an M5 allen headed bolt only an M6 so I used a drill by hand to increase the heater hole out to a clearance size then tapped the clip to M6. Quite surprised by how easy it went back together with the allen headed bolt ,lot easier than the screw originally used.
Too late and too dark to do much more tonight but will update tomorrow all being well
In the meantime big thank you to ALL who contributed and thanks to the inventor of the dremmel tool
