hazards lights help

can anyone help, just rebuilt my defender 90 got all the electrics working except a small problem with the hazards, they work ok but the green light on the dash doesn't light up. it lights up when using the indicators, there are two wires to the bulb when I put the left indicator on one wire shows power and when I put the right indicator on the other shows power but when I put the hazards on they both show power

could it be the relay or have I screwed up with the wiring

I don't know the wiring/instruments in defenders but.....

If indicators use the same green lamp regardless of direction, hazards should have their own warning lamp

depending on the age, not sure when it changed ut early 90/110s didnt originally have a seperate telltale, on my 300 the switch itself is the hazard telltale as well as the trailer & indicator telltales flashing.

its an 'e' reg I think the problem is the power going down both wires

MATE THANKS ALOT just watched the link and noticed 2 wires 1 each side the block connector I know mine as only got one and I remember seeing a black wire with no were to go I'll have a look at weekend when I'm home.
