The chassis on my 99 Defender with almost 150K on the clock is holding up well. The only rust so far is on one of the body outriggers and an area of the rear cross member where a reversing camera had been fitted, which I patched.
The rest of it looks clean, the MOT man commented on it last time. Don't know if 99 was a good year or if I've been lucky.....
